will a clone turnout as good as the mother? will it produce the same yeild and potiency? also if you keep taking clone from clone from clone does the plant degrade?
 
i have cloned clones potency there yield the same just some like deformities with leaves like single fingered leaves kinda weird but still good smoke.
 
A clone is genetically identical to it's mother unless mutations occur (less stable genetics).
 
From info I have read you start running into issues with yield and quality in the later generations. A clone of a clone of a clone of a clone would prolly not be a good mother.
 
a clone will make a good mother as long as its not a clone of a clone of a clone because the will eventually lose the genetic integrity. Just think about it this way, take a piece of paper and photo copy it and then take a photo copy of the photo copy and so on, eventually your gonna lose some quality

I have been cloning the same strain for roughly 3 years (12 cycles) without a drop in yeild or quality. If anything, its gotten much better as I get more experienced with hydroponics. Last crop started to hermie in week 8 but that was my fault, not bad genes. I think the biggest problem growers and buyers have with cloning the same stuff season after season is that they get used to smoking the same old shit and it looses its charm. One mans trash is another mans treasure. The genes would have to be affected eventually as max said. My 12 cycles is really pushing the envelope.

Supposedly, using tissue culture cloning you get little to no damage to genes through the cloning process. I think the same can be said for cloning roots too, but I'm no botanist.
 
your right, i have been using the same mother plants to produce clones for years without any loss in quality. just try and keep your moms as healthy as possible and you could have years of cuttings ahead of you
