another chance to help fdd ------ what's wrong with my leaves

this started on my jacks surprise ONLY about 10 days ago. it is now starting on my hijack. the black domina are not affected.

we had temps in the 90 -100 degree range for week. my room was reaching 91 degrees at some point throughout the days. in the past week i have lowered my temp to 65 - 80 degrees. humidity is 35 - 50%. my temps get lower everyday now but the leaves seem to be getting worse.

i was feeding heavy veg AND bloom nutes up to the last 2 waterings. the last 2 waterings have been straight water. they still seem to be getting worse.

i have raised my lights about 5 inches in the past 4 days. they still seem to be getting worse. it started with the plants furthest away from the light.


it appears to be heat stress to me.

your giving veg nutes still in flower? what are the npk of both flower and veg

its got to be heat stress,especially after flushing and its still doing this.I can believe IM giving you info .but your king of the outside. And onother reason I say its heat stress is because the black dominna isnt being effected by the heat and the others are more sensitive to it.IF it were the nutes all of it would take the hit. THats pretty high heat fdd for inside.at least try to get it in the 80's.

yes, i give veg nutes throughout flowering. note how green they are.

veg nutes are: 3 - 1.5 - 4
bloom nutes are: 1 - 5 -5


so what's up with my leaves? :-?

I dont think the leaves will flatten back out.they will just stay like that .just as long as the new growth doesnt keep doing this.Its kinda like nute burn when they get burned the just stay burned looking untill the end.its been damaged.are Is the knew growth leaves still curling?

from what i understand when the leaf fringes point up it means the plant is trying to dissipate moisture but is having a hard time doing so...salt build up, lack of water and heat stress are all the most common means of this....if your comfortable in your nute mix and p.h, and you seem like you have enough knowledge to spot underwatering.:mrgreen:..i would go with heat stress...now i had this happen to me due to salt build up once from the p.h. being off...i flushed her and she came back within a couple days.........:joint:

i usualy stop my nitrogen after a couple weeks of flower. just worm castings on top of soil ( low n but lots of other goodness) that seems to carry me through.temps were a bit high. but you said the ones furthest away from light started first.

it started at the bottom so it hasn't shown on the new growth yet. :neutral:

well I guess there isnt any knew leaves becuase your flowering. I will investagate. I will be back with an answer.

it does look like lock up also. could be from to much n, some strains can handle it a little more maybee thats why it is slowly spreading

i always feed nitrogen the whole way. never had a problem with it. :mrgreen:







the jacks surprise showed it first. they are the "lowest/furthest" from the light. directly under it though.

I just watched The Great Jorge at work (i swear i watch that DVD everyday)

According to Jorge, leaves curl when theres a sudden rise in humidity. Lower the humidity and the leaves should curl back down.

I was having the same problem this crop around. I live in the south, and we've been breaking record numbers in temps... in a small closet, it feels the end of the road sometimes... My leaves arent just curling though, there damn near wrinkled and all the tricomes have faded away...

You live and you learn i suppose.. im like you FDD, im more of an outdoor grower... Inside is waaay to much maitnence

fdd I just asked a pro thats sick with info. IM waiting for a reply. it does seem like lock up but I know dam well it cant be ,because I see your plants outside and they looked steller so I know you have the soil dialed inn. I will be back with more info.

you may be right but there is more drainage outdoors than in

my humidity hasn't changed in 5 weeks. it's within range. 35 - 50 %

how does a pot drain differently outside?
