And difference in mothering from seed or cutting?

hi peeps! On the pheno hunt but running out of space as they’ve grown huge. Got a some cuts of each plant flowering but the they won’t be finished for 8 weeks so I’m Thinking of taking a cutting or each plant and chuck the seedling mother’s. Should I keep them from seed or will the cuttings be just as good coming from a mother that was a cutting?

As long as they are healthy, the cuttings should be just fine.

I run clone from clone but I try to avoid ever letting the clone preflower as it will always have those and while it may not affect growth ...it just bugs me

I’ve ran clones of clones of clones for years on end with awesome results with several strains at this point.

I agree with what has already been said. I have not kept a mother plant in years. (plant count matters where I live) When I move from veg to flower tent, I take clones from the sucker branches that would be below canopy if allowed to remain. I always take a couple from each for good measure and pass the extras on to friends if required.
