tl;dr grasshopper is pest and should be killed.

I'm more interested to know why the plants in perlite are completely fine but every plant that was in soil died than i am in moralistic ramblings.

After 2 weeks in an enclosed room with open windows i brought about 12 seedlings outside to get more light.
Within about a minute there was a grasshopper. I sprayed him with neem but he didn't die or budge so i killed him with my finger. Then I gave each plant a bit of water and left for 2 days.
Within 2 days every single one has died except for the two that i put in a mix of 100% perlite.

Wtf?

Imma gonna say you didn't harden them off and they cooked in full sun. Not sure why the perlite one made it but maybe it had shade.

Did you burry the grass hopper you murdered ?
