Ammonia smell in flower tent??

This Morning when I when to check on the ladies the buds were Putting off an ammonia smell, and even noticed plants that may be signs of nutrient burn. Yesterday morning I to dressed with kelp and ewc when watering. Could this be why? Smell Is not coming from the soil. The soil smells like diet and kelp meal. Definitely from the buds, week 6 of flower, 43 percent rh. Any thoughts?

Carefully pull the little individual buds away from the main stem of your largest colas and check for mold/rot where the buds grow up along and touches the main stem. The mold will start on the inside, while the outside looks fine.

My first ever harvest I was so excited for my huge main untopped no LST cola..got to trimming and lost an oz to mold.

Been there done that and I was maintaining 40% and less humidity. In later runs I had to keep the plants in a state of thirst to give me the extra couple weeks needed to finish.

I'll look when I get home. They aren't even that dense though! This is my first run so I'd be really bummed having to chuck the whole crop

That and it just makes sense to me that plants given an abundance of water will have a corresponding abundance of moisture available in the plant cells which hastens mold.

Well as far as I can tell there's no rot or mold, the buds arent big enough that I wouldn't be able to see it anyhow. I have cranked up the dehumidifier a little more just in case though. The smell was a little less noticeable after work but was still there. I had my wife go smell them for a second opinion and she thinks I'm crazy... doesn't smell ammonia at all. Is it possible that top dressing with the kelp meal is causing the smell?? This is the first time I have used it on top like that

Has to be, after I checked for mold what stuck to my hands smelled the same way. I think my nose is fucking with me :wall:
