I saw on the show tonight how Fort Collins Proposition 300 was passed a was like wtf!!!! But I just realized this show is being shown everywhere, people who see this show weither where they stand on this issue of dispensaries is gonna see how this really effects medical patients first hand. I think its going to put a stop to this banning of dispensaries and will most likely help other states pass medical marijuana. That's jus me though idk maybe im to high lol

What pissed me off is when they showed segments of the cop busting people. These busts had nothing to do with dispensaries, they were independent grows. As for the vote, did you see how many voted? only 18K against. The turnout was a measly 35, to 40k people.

Instead of bashing this shit, what may be some alternatives to dispensaries? An organized, computerized caretaker system?

35-40k is over half of the registered voter. I believe it was 72k in that ball park so that was a good show for the community.

I had mixed feelings about the whole thing. First think I made sure I told myself is that this is how the people of that community have voted. If the federal government would put this in the hands of the states there would be places that it truly would be legal and places where it is not. That said it broke my heart to see it happen. Susan was one of the the patients in this episode. See was on 2 weeks ago and has an auto-immune disease. I also have an auto-immune disease. I know the relief it brings verse fuckin' opiates. Sometimes having to drive far would kill me.
Finally did you catch the brothers where charging $20 and 1/8? Then I saw a statement that dispensaries charge $350 and oz. so their offering a reduced rate. And organic at that.
All right one more thing. Hopefully this will motive all of the people of Colorado to vote on the legalization initiative on their ballot.

that is a shame.

arizona passed our med pot law by a few hundred votes or less. the anti pot people will be trying to shut it down next election.

our governor stopped dispensaries and went to court. the court told her to fuck off and allow dispensaries. between the assholes, the bible thumpers, the liquor and pham industries, the harrasment will never end.

3 points to consider...

If you haven't heard of this little beauty take the time to read it. http://www.incb.org/pdf/e/conv/convention_1961_en.pdf

Ultimately the Fed has no intention of getting out of this treaty and unfortunately for us the latest DOJ/DEA position papers treat these initiatives and state laws as totally irrelevant to federal enforcement and prosecution under the US Controlled Substance Act and within this international treaty Article 36 para 1(a) 'delivery on any terms, whatsoever' remains very much in effect which the US, as a member nation, has sworn, sometimes inconsistently, to uphold.

Then let's not forget the recent federal tax code ruling that prohibits any dispensary from treating 'normal business expenses' as a deductible expense on their business's federal tax returns. The Nov 2011 ruling states that all dispensaries are aiding and abetting the distribution of a Schedule 1 narcotic and therefore are not eligible to deduct these expenses. This means that going forward the price at the counter is going up and price to the grower will drop if this entire business model is to remain viable. Those dispensaries that choose to stay in business will also have to deal with the past years taxes where they filed and took these deductions and to remain in business will have to pay the deductions back with penalties and interest. Should those business's decide to close the back taxes are not eligible for discharge in a bankruptcy proceeding and will remain the responsibility of the principals and officers until satisfied.

In AZ Prop 203 also states that there will be no personal grows allowed within a 25 mile radius of any legal dispensary. Can anyone explain to me why that language would have been in any bill that passed?

according to MPP, the reason the 25 mile rule was put in was that they didn't believe that it would have passed without it. considering the slim margin of victory, i can't fault those involved.

I can never support not being able to grow any of your own meds and increased penalties for those who do decide to grow within a 25 mile radius of the licensed dispensary. To me it's overreaching government authority by restricting market access and setting up price controls within these areas. Sort of like forced health care which the Supreme Court gets to hear that case next week to rule on it's constitutionality. My money say's it's overturned since it does overreach by forcing the consumer to buy from a private insurer. Sort of like a dispensary within 25 miles of where you might reside within AZ.

Have you ever heard of a conflict of interest, insider information and it's all caught on tape. Wow~ Ft. Collins now that you see the facts for what they are, you should be more motivated now than ever before to fight this corrupt way of elected officials and EX elected officials abusing the system and flat out lying to it's constituents.

A mistake in counting the ballots. Everything you need is right before you to go back to the ballots and force a FULL and COMPLETE investigation into this matter. Question Martinezes statistics he spewed to those elected officials. My god, this man is a and was a public servant. Anyone who makes up lies like this should be banished from his community.

I would wager the bet that he got paid for his role in this matter.

Pro 300 pundits are afraid that legal grows will perpetuate illegal activity. When a med grower violates the rules, it gives the anti-marijuana people ammunition for their cause.

Case in point: A NorCal grower conspiring/selling to Illinois pushers for massive profits. I won't mention any names though. See how it works?

I would imagine everybody on those shows is paid quite nicely for there involvement. People I know who had small 1 line stuff had to join the actors guild and where paid union wage. I would think Martinezes was all ready involve but he is a flamboyant character. I would have chosen him to follow.

Did you notice the teen said all he care about smoking weed and getting high. I suspect there was more than weed going on with the kid. I would like to have further access to the stats used by the officer in previous shows. Generally I read of no increase in underage drug use where medical MJ, this guy has stated otherwise several times. I wonder.

Wow! Did anyone watch the latest episode? I was involved in a thread on this show in the 'Legal Edge' subforum but I guess it got deleted when the site was hacked.

The fucking cops blatantly ignored the civil rights of a citizen because of their stupid prejudiced view on marijuana, whether legal in their state or not. Since when can a cop refuse to let someone press charges against someone else for theft and decide that it was a civil matter? Fuck you pig, that's for a judge to decide! YOU do not have the right to make that call so do your job. Pisses me off. I think Josh should file a complaint against that fucking douche.

The cop had know way to know who was telling the truth. You had a guy with paper work he had know way of knowing what was what. Some paper work with a couple of serial numbers goes a long way.
That makes twice that the brothers have been robed. It really does look bad. I would not want something that draws that much crime in my neighborhood.
EVERYTHING is dramatic. "We'll not recover from this, what will do". Next thing you know there hanging $1000's on lights. How did that happen?
It is a good show. For the most part it is a good show.
