I have big corn cob size buds and some appear ripe.

Deal is they are milky white with just beginning amber heads.
We only took the tops.

Am I correct amber trichome HEADS and milkey white stocks for "Couch lock" ?

hmmm??

the head of the stalk.. which is round and shaped like a globe.. this is where the THC goes inside a trich. That's the only part of the trich you should be looking at and examining. What each glandular (meaning round) trichrome does..is once the THC starts to form inside the galnd (the round top of the trich).. it will start with kinda cloudy.. then as the THC level inside the gland rises.. the gland will slowly turn from cloudy milky.. then from milky to an abmerish red color (ripe trichrome).

You don't examine the entire trich.. just the top gland.. which will be round like a globe. Start out clear.. then go to cloudy.. then to milky.. then to amberish reddish color.

Hope that helps ya.

Oh, lastly.. the only trichs you really want.. are 'Glandular" type. Which like I said earlier.. Glandular trichromes have that clear dome head (or top) on them. Kinda like a person with one led and no arms.. ;)
anyhow.. those are the ones you want.

peace..

So my neighbor who told me to let the entire tric, stock, head everything! Go amber is letting his go over ripe?
He also let the hairs go all red where I let mine go 65% and tric head just start to go amber.

From what I was told and I know there 100 stickies, is that when it goes amber its going to start to degrade after that and snatch them just within 3 or 4 days of an amber head?

My neighbor is looking for 100% dark amber where I wanted a milky white stock and slight beginning amber head?

Thanks.

You won't get a sativa high from an indica strain by harvesting early.

You'll just get a weaker indica high.
