Am I too late ??

I have a female which I started from seed at the end of June.It is at 4ft as of today but the weather now is cooling off.I,m in the north east U.S.and I don,t see any signs of budding yet...Am I too Late ??

How do you know it's a female?

it will finish budding or sprouting sacs by the end of the season whether it likes it or not

Are you to late? Like did you miss winter? as in Winter came and went and you think you might have missed it? is that what your asking. And how do you know its a female?

Being a carpenter I am pretty good with measuring by eye...So for your doubts I measured it with a measuring tape and it's exactly 3ft 10 in soil to tip.here are some better pics (count the 4inch siding rows)
