Am I Right To Start Flushing Now?

Why does nobody have to prove that? Because a lot of people say so? That's a pretty flimsy argument to use and sit there and tell somebody that they are wrong.

why? with hybrids you are better off with clear/milky/skosh amber is actually better than old school 50% ambers because of UVB's..i've seen even some old schoolers recommending 50%clear and 50% milky..let's watch shall we?:

It is simply a matter of taste. There is no "better off."

We are talking about Botany not opinions. And I never said you are wrong.

Don't be a weeny when your ideas are challenged, how about?

The same applies to boiling. WHY?

What is the logic? Is it because of the wives tale about hanging the plant upside down, lets all the "juices" run to the buds. POPPYCOCK. Hanging upside down, increases the drying time is all.

There is zero circulating THC in the system. None. And there is no way to say, that somehow boiling dislodges lower leaf and stem THC, minimal at best, and transports it to the bud sites.

Why Boil?
I never saw that claim. Boiling causes the plant roots to die, cutting off the 02, when glucose and starch are cut off of 02, they ferment.

Lol sorry, I must of misinterpreted something or confused you with somebody. But as a personal question, if you haven't seen proof that not flushing is beneficial, and you have heard from multiple people that unflushed weed is harsh to them, why not flush?

Because I thought we were discussing the idea that flushing makes better tasting buds.

You say so. I say there is no proof. And to have proof you need study and experiment.

If not it is simple superstition.

Why Boil?
because it starves the rootzone of O2 and causes the plant to start fermenting as a natural built in survival method that ALL plants do, the science is in my truth about flushing thread

Bleh sorry if it seemed like that's what I was defending. If you go back, my main premise has been that if not flushing isn't beneficial, and it has a risk associated with it, why risk it?

Because I think poorly cured weed is harsh and it has nothing to do with cutting back feed when they need it.

Double blind tests, only can say.

Oh, boiling science is your flushing thread? I need to re-read it.

I have no idea what you mean about natural. Nothing natural about boiling roots.

I can see that logic. That is business.

the survial method of fermenting sugars into alcohol if the roots are starved of O2 is natural, the boiling simply speeds it up

OK. Why is that survival? I can see how it begins the cure, maybe. But, alcohol?

I've heard of sailors getting drunk as their ship goes down so they will drown faster. :)

tis a survival mechanism built into all plants, it is about flooding, when the roots are deprived of O2 the plants ferment sugar into alcohol to keep the chemical pathways alive and moving till the flood is over. You can get there by flooding the roots but it takes bout 10 to 14 days, boiling makes it happen instantly

I see. Very interesting. thanks.

so you are telling me that with 80% amber its not ready? you have that in veg.. come on man There is a reason why they turn amber. I know you have to know that. After amber you lose thc and they do not stay in amber long

Why do I want my plant to ferment said sugar into alcohol in the first place?

Whoa, no. I usually go for 30-40%, but definitely less than half. The pic I saw I didn't even see the amber at first glance.
Oh nvm, that might not of been at me.
