Never really jumped on the autoflower kick but have had a couple buddies that had a couple pretty impressive grows with a couple (Auto Pounder, Think Different to name a few) and was wondering your thoughts on autos...

I think autos are better for outdoors. If your looking to grow something quick indoors, I would do 12/12 from seed. bongsmilie

autos have their place and can be grown well, but im certainly not going to waste any of my budroom floorspace on them. if you have separate veg and bud areas there is no reason to grow them. Plus autos force you to grow from seed every time, so if your looking to produce a uniform crop and have consistency from cycle to cycle then running proven clones is the only way to go. Outdoor is a totally different animal, but even then I wouldn't spend my own time and resources on plants that do not have the genetic potential of "real" photo period plants.

I think you'd be better off just trying them out. Most people don't grow them or even want to give them a chance but still bash them.

That said, I haven't tried any autoflowers either because they don't fit my situation but I've heard they've come a long way.

I know Dr. Greenthumb has the Iranian Auto that's supposed to be a good yielder and pretty potent. Just food for thought...
