Hi,

The Other Week | Went Out And Brought A 400 watt HPS, Autopot Hydropak System ( With Perlite/Vermiculite, A+B Nutrients) And A 15 watt CFL. Do I Need Anything Thing Else?

LOL whats the CFL for?

Timers, ventilation equipment, etc. those 400W systems DO get pretty warm.

not quite........400w lights do get a little warm and plus ur plants need fresh air so some type of vent system would be good ummm what about meters?? gotta be able to tell what ur ph and ppm is well they are the 2 most important u got any ph up and ph down?? size of ur grow room?? ne type of reflective tape?? how many plants u got?? i dunno if ur ready yet but i might be wrong who knows sounds to me though like u have alot of other factors u havent looked into

i take it the cfl is for when your seeds sprout to give them some soft light to get them on there way it will also come in handy for when you clone and if your plant starts to get a little crowded you can stick it in the guts as a little somethin extra, about all else you need is extraction fan, oscilating fan a place to grow and some mylar or somethin similar to get the max out of your light.

1 or 2 CFLs PER PLANT if your thinking of vegging with them - I vegged on 1 23watt CFL per plant, about an inch from the top of it with a reflector above which covered the 2-ft square-ish space fine, but I'm thinking of a dual spectrum 125 watt grow light next time - would've probably got bigger sooner...flower with the hps, grow/veg for a month or so with the CFLs I reckon! (I don't know a lot but from what I've read on here I've not got enough lights...only about half/quarter whats needed but mine are flowering just about, there again i'm using CFL all the way through - they grew fine with cfls no probs man, but get more then it won't take as long) :blsmoke:

oh, is there more..... i started with a $1500 budget and im well over $2400 now. and not quite done, but i do have alot of the bells and whistles.
