Your finding what your mind was told to do! It finds a difference because it was given the task to! Brains do that - even when the things it's told to find a difference in, are the same = science! There is NO WAY to do a "side by side" on a personal scale and be "correct". That's science again!
The term you're looking for is: Confirmation Bias

Once you get an idea in your head, you seek out only the evidence that supports your thought.

In the end, flushing is subject to so very many variables that there can be no general consensus made on it one way or the other. Through simple habit, I don't so much "flush" as I do just stop giving nutrients the week of harvest. I always harvest on a Saturday, so I stop all nutrients or additives of any kind on Sunday.

It's probably more of a "feel good" thing than anything else. I've had a few smokes from folks that swear flushing for weeks is the holy grail of all marijuana and I've smoked some from guys that say it's all bullshit.

I've never really seen any difference.

It's all subjective to our own thoughts, really. In the end, most any difference between the two has far more to do with what was done for the several months the grow took than it does what was done in the last 10 days or so.

That people have to argue to the point they'd come to blows were they in the same room over this topic is proof positive on just how far around the bend civilization has gone at this point.

i agree completely, the only way this is ever going to get settled is if someone does a real clinical test, growing the same strains with the same nutes in controlled conditions, then sending samples off to be tested for contents. and even if someone goes to that much trouble, there will still be people who won't believe the results, who will find reasons to believe the test was biased

It's fucked dude. It's like people wearing a saint medallion. You could never convince them not too.

Maybe a couple decades from now when it's more mainstream and actual educated horticulturists are into it. Maybe

But Thanks bunch's for the reply! I gotta get out there to take Riddle up on his invite to visit. The way things are running here, may take a year to be able to get away. Considering that you and tstik are in the same area. It would be nice to shake your hands also!

All around Durango..You can take the Durango Silverton narrow gauge and stop to get off for back packing and fishing anywhere along the Animas river it follows. You get off where you like by choosing a point on a map of the track. tell them what day/time to pick you back up and they stop on that run and pick you back up! I like the backwater to the little damn not far from town,,, oh the mmmm Lemon reservoir I think it's named. The rivers that feed that are superb for rainbows and browns! WELL worth a week end trip to the little campground on the east side of the lemon reservoir! TIP: fish that creek at the north end of the campground in the mornings for great "eaters" !

Around CS we spent a lot of time up and down the Arkansas ! Got some nice browns out of there! Some nice panning in there too!

Why hells bells Yodaweed, I'll have to drop you a PM when I go out there again too! Get a few stops on the Arkansas in for a day! Cpl a ole organic guys at play!

Flushing is essential if you have been using synthetic fertilizer and insecticide, you don't want to end up smoking any of that stuff; you can tell when it gives you a headache. In growing organically you don't have to worry about flushing, but usually the last two weeks of flowering you don't want to be dousing it in anything that will be leftover in your final product.
smoke what?!?! Do you smoke the roots and dirt? LOL
how can flushing take out synthetic fertilizers out of the bud, that's dumb.

It doesn't starving them just forces them to use the nutrients stored up in the plant. They store food in leaves, stems, and flowers why feed nutrients for a week when there is plenty of food in the plant for the last week?

All good, all good!

Our favorite has to be Chamonix in France. Mt Blanc is a gas with it's 10 different area's. Grands Montets has the best off piste, high mt. skiing. I proposed to my wife there. Half way down during a lunch/wine stop.
Brevent-Flegere follows closely behind that with some fine runs facing Mt Blanc. With Balme Vallocine being mid mt. wide open and Les Houches also mid mt. but with some fine glade skiing off piste at the start of the tree line. The others are mostly groomed and more novice/family type area's.

Here's a pic of us at the start of that exact trip. We're in London, in a pub waiting for friends to get out of work. We stopped for a cpl of days to visit and have one of the couples join us for the ski trip.
