is there a way to monitor and control RH?
I got a bunch of hygrometers. Non are very professional or extremely accurate but the are close enough. Nothing to control but i do have a good sized humidifier and a small sized dehumidifier for small spaces

I wouldn't add any humidity only controll the release of it building up

Bare with me guys my wish.com loupe is even worst than I thought and couldn’t get good shot of the buds at the end of the tent which seem to be more than done.almost 10 weeks of flower for these 2 white tahoe ladies. One of them has like a 20/80 amber to cloudy ratios and almost all hair are either brown or blonde the other is keeps foxtailing around the main colas bit the trichs are very amber which scares me that i might push it. Just need couple of expert eyes to tell me if i can start chopping part of one of the plants tomorrow before lights on.
They look great, nice job. You are defiantly in the harvest window. I would give them another week or even a couple weeks just because you said "i am looking for the strongest couch-lock high i can get". That said I would think it would be perfectly fine to harvest now. Your call.

it might over dry with the fan running 24/7, you want the rh to stay between 60-67 and the temps 60-70

some sort of guesswork might be needed on your part, or buy a digital RH controller
Damn that might be hard because i am drying in the same room i am growing the rest of the plant is growing in. Humidity outside is high here in souther ontario. If i crack the window and will it raise my rh and decrease my temps?

id say move the tent to another space then

control the RH before temps.

lower temps better flavor, high RH chance of mold
imho id prefer duller flavor to running mold risk

True? Will 45-50 rh do or that’s way too low?
that might dry them faster but not by much , mine dry in 5-6 days exposed to 42rh , its winter here and hard to get rh up aswell. but I see no loss in potency

fall harvest and summer comes out better, but I dont dwell on it to much. smokes the same

I've never harvested before the lights came on. I always chop them during the light cycle whenever I feel like it.
@Doug Dawson has explained it to me a couple times before but I smoke to much weed to remember details beyond starches in roots get transferred up to the plant when lights come on.

I just dont remember what he said about how it affects the plant.

That is basically it. Starches are stored during lights on as I understand it so the plant has food during dark periods. Those starches/food stores are used during the dark period and than replenished during photosynthesis. That said I don't know that those starches make any difference from our perspective. I have talked to some great growers who just don't pay attention to it and it does not seem to make a difference. I chop before lights come on or turn lights off at normal time and leave them until I chop. Do the added starches stored during lights on effect the end product, I don't think they do from a smokers perspective but I cannot say for sure. Since it's such an easy thing to just chop in dark period I just do it but it may not matter. Just figure since it takes no more effort I can just do it that way. Here is an interesting article about it.

Yikes flushing is def not a myth lol.
You're looking like your in the window. Sometimes waiting just a bit longer really helps some diff deeper flavours develop.
