I only flush two weeks before harvest.
Let the soil dry completely before each watering and water until you have some runoff.

put your finger an inch into the soil, it should be moist but not saturated. first month, i'd water lightly every other day. keep the topsoil moist for seedlings. water about every 3 days after the first month. basically just wait till the first inch of soil is relatively dry. You can water till a few drops come out of the bottom of the plant but you'll soon learn how much water your plants prefer by seeing how they react to the waterings - how vigorous they look afterward. Flush? once during veg like 2 weeks before flowering and once 2-3 weeks before harvest.

throw a seeds in the dirt and see how well it does...
yea, im going to be investing some major money into this grow
possibly 2 or 3 thousand watt mh/hps lights
a co2 system, some advanced nutes
7 gallon containers ( 9 per light )
no intake or exaust fans

so i have to make sure i get things correct
and i know that watering can be a bit tricky

When i spoke with a guy at tech support at Advanced nutes he said they recomend flushing once a week

but i think that seems a bit much, possibly i missunderstood?

once durring veg and once durring flowering makes a little more sense

I once grew some plants in soil and my roomate/ partner at the time didn't want to flush the last two weeks of flowering. The taste of the crop was horrible. I got a chance to try a Aeroponics Aero Flo 20 site system after that
got some good results from that but was told by a friend about 4 weeks into flowering that he heard my spot was hot and ended up ripping everything down.
so spite having some experence growing i have yet to have a really good crop. so yea wish me some luck this time around

Dude... WalMart, $10.00, Hydrometer! If you have a habit of over thinking things (and over watering) like me... That'll be the best $10.00 you can spend. The finger trick works... and works great! Again, unless you are like me and you need a little box to tell you "stop fucking with it". :)

My local hydro shop has one that does the following... (or says it does) I haven't found anyone that can give me a review of it. But, for $35.00, I may just pick one up and see. It's a soil only kind of thing. Here's a link ...
