how is this looking dont want to fuck her up,and im abit confused what i do next when new shoots grow to the top do i untie the string?

Yes you are doing it right if you are trying to get the lower branches light and if you want to move the original top to one side. I usually top or fim it so more bud sites will be exposed to the light. More bud sites bigger yield and that's the purpose of LST look at my grow I have going on now. I'm doing Lst and Hst.

thanks dude i havent topped due to it being a auto iv read that there life cycle isn't long enough to overcome the stress from topping is this true?

yeah deffo don't top it if its an auto, exactly as you said. You're doing it absolutely right, don't untie the string, all the new shoots will grow towards the light, when they are long enough you can tie them down in different directions around the pot
