Is it possible to alter the light cycle in the flowering period to 24/12 ?

Have you tried this yourself? or are you just repeating what youve heard?
What if i was to do it just for the last 2 weeks of flowering?

he means, give them 24 hours of light, then 12 of darkness, still giving them the same amount of darkness.

however it doesnt work this way... they don't go on one fact, like if its 12 hours of dark it's okay..

it needs 12h or less of light and 12h or more of dark to stay in the flowering cycle. The plant can sense these things.

you don't got the idea why to switch to 12/12 or??:-|

it about imitating the sun in fall, red spec heavy, sorter light times longer nights, as so sun gets to the 12/12 point in nature about end of july cannabis starts to flower slowly. and the reason not to go much shorten then this is that if you put your cycle to 10/10 for example you may raise some attention that a boom of light is starting at 3 in the night all of a sudden;) also this cuts down on power that plant can tank up on during "day" so a 10/14 isn't to useful eight:blsmoke:

i can tell you, your plants get confused by it and stop growing buds, that simple. and i don't even have try this to figure it, that is stuff the taught us in junior high bio, did you miss this part somehow:confused:

basically you just can't do a 24/12. everything on this earth has evolved to cope with the light cycles with some combination of light hours and dark hours that add up to 24 hours. if you were to try to mess around with something so fundamental as the sum of light and dark hours, you would probably screw your plant up :-(

just imagine trying to run around working and growing all day long for 24 hours. that would suck, even if you got to sleep for 12 hours later, haha. it wouldn't be a good lifestyle for you, and it wouldn't be good for your little ladies either! :-P

anyway, good luck with the rest of your grow!

:peace:

i would try 24/24. keep it even. if you double the night you should also double the day.
i've heard of this being tried and it always came to don't try it. but i do not know why. if you have the means i would go for it. why not?

if you plan to cut back the light to 24/12 for flowering. what cycle would you be using for vegging 36/12?
as far as i know to make your plants flower you have to cut back the light from x amount of hours and make it less. so that's why i asked what you would do for vegging?

if a plant gets........pay attention everyone...........12 HOURS OR MORE OF UNINTERUPTED DARKNESS IT WILL FLOWER. 24/24 is more than 12 hours. it can have all the light it wants it just has to have MORE than 12 hours of dark.

or does it? if you went to a 48 hour day maybe it would need 24 hours of darkness to flower?

there is a book out on "forced flowering". i don't own it yet. i will soon. i won't neccesarily try any of it but knowledge is golden.

i have NO CLUE about any of this. i have never tried it and what i've read about it i've smoked away.

thanks for noticing me though.

iloveeveryone

well i know from experience that once you start flowering with 12/12 over the next two weeks you can gradually increase that to 14/10 and this will increase yield but extend the flowering period, any more light hours than this in a 24 hour period will set the plant back to veg. If a flowering plant is left to reveg for too long it will loose its buds
