Alright: Finally a balls out set-up with a room

The plans for the house fell through and due to time restraints by my boss (he held us to our two week notice, no extensions) I resorted to getting into an affordable apartment (everybody has to start somewhere, mirite?).

Unfortunately, I bought a set up for a house, not a stealth set-up for an apartment.

This is what I'm stuck with:
2 convertable 1000 W HPS/MH ballists
: Lights 2 HPS Ushio lights, 1 MH Ushio lights


1 1000W HPS Ballist

2 44 in Parabolic Hoods

1 Horizontal Hood (friend hooked it up for me, not sure who made it)

Not sure on the size of my inline fan, but it's fairly big....like moves 650 CFM, along with a carbon filter that weighs about 250 lbs (the thing is fucking gnarlly big)

1 CO Burner (Still need to buy the propane for it)

Enviro controls for CO2, Temp, Fan speed, Humidity

2x2 Floro for seedlings

Both Chem and Natural Ferts from FF

Strains:
The Doggies Nuts White Widow #1 (Fem)x10
Barnie's LSD (fem)x5
Dinafems' white widowx3
Dinafems Blue Widowx4
Northern LightsxSkunk #1 (Fem)x3
Leshaze x10

Starting plants: 50 NY DeisalxBig Bud clones growing SOG

Room Size: 1 Master bedroom 12x8 feet with a 8x3 ft closet

The Apartment: 1 2nd floor apartment on the corner BACK side, facing the property gate (yes!)

The Plan:

To grow out 50 NYDXBB clones to 10-12 inches and then flower. 8 weeks from veg to completion. Also: I will be downgrading from using 3 1000w lights to 2 lights, 1 MH 1 HPS.

White Widow and LSD to grow side by side 4 of each, mother the finest of the two strains, bud the other 6 plants. Then grow from clone 5 and 5 for a total of 10 plants at all time.

Lease Policy: 1 year

How does this stack up for a success? Fingers crossed on no apartment inspections for that first two months.

Also, I am a member of the OMMP.

I'm not worried about police, but cholos robbing me or land lords evicting me might be a problem.

I'm looking at a 5g tax return in 4 weeks. What can I do to ensure a successful first harvest, then double back and rebuy stealth equipment for future grows? Thoughts and feedback on my plan would be awesome if done in post haste. I'm bouncing out in 2 days, and I probably won't be back until I get internet up and running at the place. I will be keeping a grow diary for the occasion and will update RIU when the net is turned back on, or the next time I hit up a starbucks or something to mooch on some internets.

Also: My fan. What would be the best way to hang the tubing up to my window without being able to use ply wood to board up the window...I was thinking black sheet plastic and duct tape. What does RIU think?

The apartment maintnance guys will eventulay have to go in your apartment wether your there or not, so what ever your growing with i would put it in your closet so its lock able , bettered use your big odor filter. Dam u got enough equiptment that you should rent another place to grow in when u get the cash, or find a partner an grow at his house?

Good luck i would be scared as hell to grow big in an apartment. I get paranoid just smokin weed in apartments.

dude just the fan is gonna get u caught if u use it i have a 6 in centrifigul hooked to scrubber and vented light sounds like a fuckin jet engine

I think I read somewhere about making a sound box for the fan to reduce the noise level, over all. Like I said, I'm in a corner apartment so I feel that I am far enough out of the way that I shouldn't get busted for that alone or smell alone. What would fuck me is if a maintenence guy came through the place though. However, there is no reason for him to go into the grow room unless he's checking one of the electrical plugs inside the room or something...I don't know, I've never had that happen in another apartment before (and I've lived in a few). There isn't a bathroom inside the master, so that also helps. I'm doing a big grow for 2 months to get me started, then I'm reducing the grow from 50 small plants (half ounce to an ounce and a half per plant) to a 8-12 plant operation. I need to supply my own medical needs, among provide for a few of my close (medical) friends' needs. The plan was to "attempt" to gather 1 year's worth of good reference material to move into an actual house, where I'll have a basement and a garage or a 3rd bedroom that I can work with.


Edit: Also, I am considering downsizing from 2 1000w lights to either hanging 2 or even 3 600w lights OR throwing down some serious cash for the grow cabinets that are often advertised on high times. I just don't want to have 2 different grow rooms hanging around my house, a stealth grow and a big grow set up.

Relocate your grow for the time being, bro.... I picked up some bad vibes on the words "Maintenance Man" , just call it ESP...... WOW I can't wait until I can get a fraction of the equipment you have for my little grow room I just constructed in my basement..........good luck.....peace

I don't have everything I need to finish my grow, yet. I'm still needing the $500 Dehumidifier/air conditioner combo, and I could upgrade my 2x2ft floro to a 6 by 8 foot floro. I'm just not the guy to buy something, and then upgrade. Get the best now, save my money and time by not dealing with upgrades in the future.

oh, and there's no "don't do it" about it. I already paid to have all 50 clones completely rooted and 1 week under 250 W MH, so I'm stuck doing it. I only have to make it 8 weeks and I don't have any history of growing (as far as renters know) so nobody will be looking for that "pot smell" IF THERE IS ONE, until it's too late. IF I was to be caught, it will be 6 months from now while I'm trying to flower my widows. I'm not as paranoid as most people. I'm not "flamboyent" with my smoke, because I've never had a possesion charge, manufacture charge, nor have I ever been evicted---for anything. So it's not like I fit the discription of your average herb smoker.
