We purchased a couple of clones.. tangerine dream and zkittlez. Everything was going fine however noticed they are possibly entering the flower stage and they're still so small/young.

Are we in for an early flower or did we mess something up?

Thanks all.
What is your light schedule, or are those plants outdoors?

Sorry my bad should've stated that.

They are indoor now getting about 6 to 7 hrs of sun exposure from the balcony. In Toronto Ontario.
Do you have artificial light on them in the off-sun hours?

If they will not be going outdoors for the season, put them on an 18 hours on, 6 hours off (18/6), 20/4 or 24/0 cycle.

If they will be going outside, give them 15 hours of light, and 9 hours of darkness per day.

Anything lower than 15 hours (or there about), they will flower. The only reason for the shorter lights-on for plants that go outdoors, is because that's pretty well what the sun will be available to the plants when they go out side. If the plants get too many hours of light a day before they go out, the sudden drop in that few hours of availability will cause the plants to flower, then reveg, then flower again in the fall.

Does that make any sense?

PS. I'm from Toronto. Much of my family lives there. Too bad for the damned Leafs. This was their year! ;)

Nice another 416er !

So we bought these clones and set them up probably too early for the way we were growing. Transferred them from the bio sponge to a pot and had them indoors near the balcony doors taking In the sun and sometimes putting them outside if the temperature went above 10 and would bring them in during the cooler nights. Noticed they began flowering so got confused because last year we did pineapple chunk the exact same way but started in may and they were outdoor 24/7 on the balcony just taking the natural sun light hours that we could get which was usually about 8hrs exposure and then a few hours of non direct exposure (damn tall condos everywhere).

So I guess they have entered flowering due to ththe low light hours we have currently and the plant is thinking it's near the end of the summer approaching fall with less sunlight perhaps ?

Will these just continue to flower into a small yield ?

Were going to do some more once may hits and try our luck again as well.

Cheers and thanks for the helpful info !

They'll flower until there's enough sunlight in the day to re-veg them. That'll take some time, but then they'll start growing full blast, until fall when the sunlight is far less again, at which time it'll go into full blown flower.

Your supposed to run a 18/6 light cycle during veg and then your supposed to induce bloom by changing to 12/12... Im new to growing but i think it has something to do with the plant producing less oxygen or more nitrogen.
