Aloe in compost tea?

I took some "raw" aloe and filled a mason jar i was planning on using it for cuttings from a lemon kush mother.
My question is does anybody use aloe in there AACT. If so is it something you just kind off eyeball and throw in the goop from a couple of stocks.
Just curious too see what other more experienced organic growers use there aloe for other then cuttings....I heard it adds silica. Not sure if thats true.

Your best bet for cuttings or clones is to take a fresh aloe plant leaf (don't no whatbthere called) and mush it up and just dip the cutting into the aloe plant. Hyroot(has a tutorial on youtube)use to use aloe for cloning but I believed changed to a low pressure Cloner.

Foliar feed with aloe they love it they recommend 1 tsp for qt or so but I use more with no ill effect and the prettiest of leaves

Awsome.
@anzo i thought about the shelf life of the mason jar yesterday and i figured it would be better to just use them fresh.
Thanks for the help I'm on this tea kick. I usually have about three different buckets brewing. I'm trying not to over do it though (as i have a tendency to do with feeding).
Peace

a really great foliar spray is pro-tekt and fresh aloe together, that's how I use it anyways, and the plants love it, it also sorts slightly slows down mites. probably just because it physically douses them, I certainly wouldn't recommend it to combat mites, it was just an observation.

This would make sense considering aloe's ability to increase a plant's SAR. In addition, the pro-tekt is going to make the cell walls stronger, making it more difficult for mites to puncture the leaves and suck the juices. Aloe and pro-tekt foliars are common practice in my garden as well!

Cool I appreciate the input.8) I noticed the pro-tekt helps make your plant a little more heat tolerant. That's good for were i live I'm constantly battling heat:fire:. Im going to my hydro shop to pick up some dyna-grow neem oil. Im gonna pick up a bottle of the pro-tekt as well. Can you mix the two with the aloe our should i apply the neem separately?:peace:

Mix 2 tsp neem in a shot glass (or something similar) with 1 tsp of pro-tekt. Mix until turns opaque. Add to 75-85 degree water that already contains your aloe. Stir/shake the hell out of it, use immediately.

I have been known to blend a little fresh rosemary, mint, etc in with the water. ;)

Almost forgot... for heat stress, you might consider a barely seed sprout tea.

hah I read this and thought of a SST that is "barely" sprouted...
Pretty sure it's supposed to be barley?
99.9% sure..
Lmfao! Yes Grease, you are very correct, barley, not barely!

Wait, me?... smoke weed... nah! Well, at least not at 14,270 feet! LOL!

I had good wind protection. I'm almost thinking there may not have been enough O2? Someone has to make a lighter that will work in the alpine tundra!

damn! I've always wanted to do that...
Total pipedream...

Aloe is great used fresh in water either soil drench and/or foliar. The plants really seem to get a nice shade of green and they are shiny.

After the 1st hour they lose alot of their goodness. I do mix the ground up leaves in my teas. I have x12 aloe plants growing year round.
