Almost sprayed neem oil mix after spraying Epsom. Bad? Bad.

So I almost sprayed some neem oil agsil mix after foliar feeding one of my babes with epsom. Then I caught myself and remeber someone telling me that you never mix oil with sulfates.

Anyone know how bad this would of been? And why? I heard it makes an herbicide when mixed? How long should one wait after spraying epsom to be safe enough to spray neem oil?

i also wonder how many people mix these without realizing it.

I tried doing a search on this but didn't really come up with much.

Just use PYRETHRIN Dead gone. Check your humidity. Mine is 35% RH✔ HIGH HUMIDITY MEANS BUGS, AND MOLDS.

I have never heard of not mixing oil with sulfates, and I couldn't find any sources to confirm it. Though, I haven't used Neem Oil in years, however I don't recall having issues ever mixing the two.

I don't think it would have been that big of a deal, even if the Neem Oil bonded/interacted with the Epsom Salts.

If it is that much of a concern to you, you can always omit the Epsom Salts entirely and replace with Langbeinite. Just be cautious, its very potent stuff.

You want to be spraying the Epsom Salts off your leaves after a day or two anyway. Doesn't take long for the plants to absorb the Mg and S from the Epsom Salts, but if the salts are allowed to dry on the plant leaves and stay there it can interrupt your plants ability to intake light since the salts buildup on the leaves.

My humidity is at 55% and im in veg. I have a particular cultivar that loves/craves mg. I constantly monitor my soil moisture so that its never too wet or dry. I saw a fungus gnat flying around so I just want to spray neem to keep things tidy.

I had Ted at KIS organics remind me NOT to mix the two. I'm just wondering how bad it would be and an explanation of the reaction that happens.. I might just try it on a doner clone to experiment. But I heard it turns in to a herbicide when mixed.

You are not supposed to spray micronized sulfur and any oils within a few weeks of each other. I'm pretty sure the amount of S residue left behind from an epsom foliar is low enough to not cause issue, whereas doing a foliar of micronized sulfur leaves a visible dust on the plants.

Never heard of any issues mixing them. I do know that you don't want to mix sulfates with nitrates. In fact they mix sulfates with oils in large scale agriculture.

I'm gonna test it out on a test plant and see if i see any ill effects. I guess I'll just have to see for myself.

With anything cannabis related seeing for yourself is probably the best way to go since there is so much incorrect information out there.

I doubt you'll notice any ill effect.
