Almost ready to pull the trigger on the new V2 Samsung quantum. Please give me some helpful advice a

I'm giving boards a go this run heat is not even close to hps bulbs ,you may yield a little less by the look of it but the quality may be better ,
Did you run hps/mh before? How many watts of the led are u running in comparison to what u were running?

IMG_1309.JPG IMG_1316.JPG I was running 2 hps than add 3rd for a couple weeks ,I got 3 different strains going this go around which may yield less as well ,but under the boards these strains are hard and frosty as hell gg4,sour tangie ,Girl Scout cookies ,35 days IMG_1317.JPG

They where sitting in veg room a week or so to long, I have 10- 288 -4 132 boards -1265 watts give or take ,penetration seems good ,when I get a chance the 132s are getting replaced with 288s than I should be close to what I want

both on a vertical
Mate, I'm also in Oz, and I grew vertical HPS (1200w) for years. People have copied my system since 2004 (google it).

I started playing with strip LEDs because I didn't have enough space at my new place to go vertical the way I wanted. All I can say is, not only am I converted, but I have started to convert HPS commercial growers as well.

You talk about "changing bulbs", yet there's none of that with LED. You talk about "entire units" failing, but I've been running multiple boards for over a year now without as much as a single diode dimming on me. If I ever need to replace a strip or board, it's like $30 or so.

My LEDs have produced better yields, without the heat, with much better efficiency and none of the hassle of having to wait 20 minutes in-between arcing (turning on and off).

You would not have found a bigger proponent of vertical HPS growing than myself 12 months ago. I, too, was a LED skeptic.

But you know, sometimes you gotta try things before you form an opinion. Just sayin'
