I am 3 weeks into flowering with my plant and ive noticed little sacks at the base of most the shoots and where i am budding, i poked one open and out dropped a seed i assume. But i do not see what is so bad about having seeds now, this plant started as a clone but now i will have a large amount of seeds in the end. will the change the outcome of my flower other than it being seeded? im fine with having seeds, just more to grow :peace:

Yeah, energy goes into making seeds instead of being increasingly sticky and potent. That is not to mean all is lost though. As you said, you have some seeds to go for the next time, and those buds will still med you out.

Thank you fir the responces. I will get a photo up asap when I find a camera with good enough quality, not a phone. Once again I am not 100% sure, since I didn't notice these sacks near any of the buds themselves

Aside from having seeds it's like sparkabowl said: When the plant makes seeds it stops putting the energy into making flowers and thc. the plant makes tons of flowers to catch pollen and once it starts getting pollen it changes its focus from flower making to seed making.

Males dont make seeds, males make pollen. contact with Pollen makes females make seeds. A female makes buds to help it find pollen? anyway, it makes buds, and once it gets pregnant (any contact with pollen) it stops making buds and makes seeds.

But It can turn hermie(male and female) under stress. a hermie makes pollen sacks and bud, and unless u pull off every pollen sack carefully it will make itself pregnant. and will stop making bud

crazy stuff huh?

It doesnt sound like its maphing. Its at the base where the pistins are? do they look like little pieces of nugs with a small white thing inside when broken open? It shouldnt be showing seeds that fast at 3 weeks into flower.

Damn man, a full seed made in only 3 weeks of 12/12? That both sucks ass and shows some pretty amazing growth, 3 weeks damn.

I'd like to see a pic, Hermies are quite rare.

3 weeks is about right to get a light, nonviable seed from a genetic hermie. I had to laugh at your last comment though...rare? I have been growing for 20 years and I can tell you, hermies have never been rare by a longshot. One hermie flower makes a plant of nearly all hermie seeds. Most people with self made seeds are hermie made. All femm'ed seeds are slight herms. Hermies are almost more common these days than good solid females in the general world of free seed growing.

i would love to take a picture, but i do not have great quality and will try in the afternoon tomorrow. they are small sacks at the moment, i have noticed almost all bud growth has halted, nugs dont look any larger than 1-2grams. if i carefully remove the sacks, will growth continue once more?

and just curious, the plant i am growing is a clone only plant, there are no seeds for this strain. so any seeds that do develop will be the same strain, just hermied every time? ive been looking at some hermie pictures, and i dont have large bananas hanging off the plant. i think a picture would just explain it all.

here is the most visible one to take a shot of.
herm.JPG

how will i know when the seeds are fully developed? is it when im ready to harvest the seeds are done? or will there be a change in color? or will they just drop into the soil at some random point?
