looks like nutrient lockout to me, are you giving any ferts yet. are you using tap water i found out the hard way.using tap water can cause alot of problems because they treat it with so many chemicals. i use store bought spring water with good results.i'd say that you need more light i have 3 week old plants and there 10 inches tall. im using a 250 watt hps. dont give up it took me 3 times before i got my first successful grow.hope that they improve soon

lockout...
maybe from over watering? do you have some of that time release soil? or did you add nutes?

I tested 10 seedlings once with nutes/overwater and 8 looked like yours do, 2 made it and flourished.

P.S.

no i dont think im using any time realease soil, i added some 2-2-2 to them about 3 days ago, and for the first two weeks i hella overwatered them, but theyve been drying out this week. i didnt know that overwatering could cause nute lock. and yes i am using tap water now, ill get some fresh water at the store

many things can cause nute lockout... but soil has natural minerals and nutrients in it, so overwatering may be a culprit in that sense. Overwatering may also rot the small root base that those youngsters have, so maybe that is the case with the heavy watering early.

MJ is a tough plant... dry those babys out untill they are crying for water...
Check out my Grow journal at the bottom of my post, then you can see the ups and downs I have faced with my recent grow. :)

redbeard your plant is very nice!!! i dont feel that mine are growing as fast as they should, it seems as if they havent grown at all this week, im going to water them today and give them a shot of nutes(2-2-2) is this enough??

lets see a picture from today of them... I am just interested in the soil, and the main stems. It has been a while, but I believe those purple stems spell trouble...

Do you know from what kind of bag your soil is from? Is it Miracle Grow, Ect... Another rule of thumb with young plants is to not provide nutrients until they are about 3 to 4 weeks old. They have food in them already from sprout, that is used until about that time. In all honesty, if it was me... I would dry the soil in your cup until the seedlings are bending over from dehydration, then water them at that time.

one thing also to worry about is Damping Out your seedlings. Damping Out means overwater caused the very base, or near the base of your stem to start to rot... then heal up as a tough piece of plant matter. Water will not be traveling up your stem any longer, and the plant will eventually die(pictured at the bottom).

So I guess if you want some help, If you haven't already watered. Hold off on watering until we can figure a solution.

ok, have an idea. is it possible you are using an out of the bag soil without enough perlite and vermiculie mixed in? they look over-watered to me. Dont water until the soil is dried out to 1 inch downwards of the surface. Using perlite and vermiculite really helps with drainage.

My first guess is over watering. Second I would say check the pH level of both the water you use and the soil. If that is out of whack that will cause nute lockout.
