allright guys, stoner thoughts

so. this might be a crazy idea but, i have like a shit ton of fruit in my house, (Lemons, bananas, oranges), should i cut all the peels up after im done eating the fruit and use them in my soil? its an indoor grow.

What would you hope to accomplish from this?

no. plain and simple.

an organic way for the plants to get their nutes.

i mean how would it cause any harm?

Most fruit is acidic, altering ph of the soil. Plus, you are indoors....do you really not know what is going to happen? Flies, gnats, mold....stuff you obviously do not want inside....

get a container and fill it with all the peels and put lime and water in it and it will compost. its the best soil you can get. but it stinks

no. using them will be more work than you may want to engage.

what if i were to like.. dry them out and then grind them, i doubt it will alter the PH of my soil that dramatically.
Ill probably go with the lime and water idea. haha. unless one of you guys have tried the orange and lemon peel thing?

He means dolomite lime, because it WILL affect ph that much. Dolomite lime is a ph stabilizer.
