Would you consider buying a VERO after reading through some of the posts?

It is the newer fixture, I've been using it for a long time now probably a year or more with no plan to build a new one any time soon. Does the job plenty well for what little grow space I do have right now.

Thanks for sharing. 35 white cob emitters! That has to be one of the most even canopy spreads around.

So having a few grows under that fixture, is there anything you would do different?

What breeder is this from? Is it the Ox piss strain?
Rare Dankness The OX was the original seeds, I took 3 females and one male and made F2s.

Super even spread and less shadowing were some of the main goals of the build. I was inspired by Mr. Flux on the design.

If I needed to run the fixture with the driver maxed out, I would prefer to use a heavier heatsink profile for passive cooling. The heatsink setup as is, works fine for the power level I run it at in my tent. I run my MW HLG-185H-C1400A dimmed to 2/3 power or 140w draw for the COB portion of the fixture. I had bought some 50mm 12v fans I planned to fit to the top of each heatsink bar but haven't had the need at the power level I run at so I never ended up installing them. Eventually I should drill and tap the sinks for the red monos, the kapton tape was temporary until I decided if I liked the added reds or if I wanted to switch to more, less, or different combo of monos. It seems to work well as it is so I haven't experimented anymore. I have 4 450nm blues I could add from a previous build but I feel the Vero 4000k provides plenty of blue as it is and if anything benefits from a little red boost during flowering. I believe I ran just the 4000K on the first run with the fixture without the reds and it seemed to flower well that way too.

hi :)
i thought about getting some cxb3590 but... they are really expensive..
so i might take vero's as choice because they are really cheap! and good! =)

which driver's in which combination i could use?
HLG-240H-36A/B ? ?

i want to flower around 600-800 watt
i also want to build another grow tent for several mothers with around 50/100 watt? 5k vero's
(big bud, nothern light & incredible bulk?!) but that doesnt belong in this thread i guess

1) True very thanks to everyone who spent a lot of time and hard work for all of us to understand all the things around the COB, LED lights, and as such. THX
Very inspiring for me and led me to a number of reading and studying.
2) For nearly two years I was a real fanatic ,into studying about the LED, COB (to be honest, my love rather VERO, but it has primarily economic reasons and convenient and easier DIY)
Now, really, for a long time I decide to own DIY panel and I still procrastinated and gathered information and above all waiting for, as far as the technology advances, now I have everything, including money, space, commitment and lack of information and a real desire to start work and to get into the finals.
3) The question first - getting ready for 2016, something new regarding Bridgelux COB on what should really make sense to wait even with my project, something along the lines VERO 2.1 or VERO 3.0? Now they are sufficiently great price for the purchase, I think.
Q.2. - My closet space is 3 x 3 x 6.5 feet and my intention is to divide the space into 2 halves to maximize the return on plan 3 x 3 ft (2x), this means a total height of about 3 feet space will be needed very sensitive and careful control at the height of the plants in growth (1st Week seeds from germinating, switch immediately to flower) I chose for sure more blue spectrum VERO 18 80CRi 4000K) ... But what if I combine with 3500k 80CRi? 5x growth VERO18 80CRi 4000K @ 1050 mA after switching to blossom adding 4x VERO18 3500k .. 80CRi higher proportion of red light in bloom. It sounds like a bad idea?
Q.3.- would be better for Space 3 x 3 ft use 9x VERO18 @ 1050 mA or 12xVERO@750mA
(Positive: better light distribution and higher efficiency, negative: + 120 USD paying extra for 6pcs + driver hlg-120h-c700B more)
Q.4.-cooling will make BOX Intel cooler .. I have a 12V supply with higher efficiency and consumption (18pcs in total) or regulated 5V .. how(which) to use a voltage source (it would be too much phone chargers)
4.To END) The height of the light, I will try to control the whole time growing up suitable for scattering without reflectors or optic. The cabinet will have acquired reflective material (probably ORCA or maybe an ordinary mirror, including the ceiling) .. Environment - soil .. choose what method SCROG or free growth in the area?
.. Many thanks to you all for coming to help me ;-)
Whether it grows out cheerfully ..
..Sry for my english and lenght of my questions

Really?...a tease like this is fucking annoying. A $25 coupon on something you're telling us we all need, but won't tell us what it is, is not a great incentive to buy your product. How long is the sale going on for anyway?

@PurpleBuz

The buds on those photos were sent to us from customers who used our previous products, specifically the Model-V/C fixtures. The Mothership and Mini Mo fixtures are still relatively new to the scene, so photos are limited. There should be a public grow journal coming up soon from one of our most recent customers who bought a pair of Mini Mo's, as they said they'd showcase once they get everything set up.

I'm currently growing tomatoes, peppers, orange trees, and flowers under a Mothership. The flowers are eating up all they can. You can follow me on MassRoots under the alias Aquarius_of_Panta, where I post photos of that grow, alongside other photos.

@puffenuff

The 25$ coupon is merely an extra incentive added on top of another incentive, tied to an additional incentive, lol. If you find it annoying, please don't pay attention to, as I'm trying something different but don't want you to be annoyed.

The sale will be a go for around another month.

That's nice, but your trying to sell to cannabis growers, and yet you can't show us how you grow cannabis with your lights ?

@AquariusPanta

Just announce the new product straight up and dont tell me what i need as a grower, then I won't be annoyed.

A coupon for a product I'm not even sure what it is or if I even want it is not a good incentive. That was my point. Just trying to get you to look more closely at the way you're handling your marketing and promotions. Lots of room for improvement.

This is a very good point and one that will soon be ironed out and placed in view of everyone who is seeking.any additional confirmation that this technology is a legitimate replacement to all other previously established lighting sources, such as MH and HPS.

I'd love to grow cannabis again, it's a constant nostalgic occurrence for me that challenges my willpower about every month or so but I now unfortunately live in a state (Missouri) that doesn't offer it's inhabitants the right to exercise their freedoms when it comes to growing marijuana; the consequences of simply possessing a few grams here is simply audacious for anyone who's spent more than a day in jail or prison. Early on, when I first started growing cannabis under Vero 18's (Version 1.2) and after growing with T8 and no-named LED fixtures (blackstar), I knew then and there that the hype and previously documented grows/journals found here on RIU were not exaggerated and were instead genuine (most notable consideration going to @SomeGuy), as just the visual outcomes let alone had never been as impressive for me as they were then as compared to before.

Ideally, I'd grow cannabis and run the business at the same time, much like GreenGenes and not like many others but in my current situation, would risk losing everything if I were to pursue that route, including my family, and I just can't do that. Maybe when I move back to the west coast will I then take up both operations but until then, will simply have to politely ask my customers to share their experiences with the masses in hopes of spreading the positive awareness of growing with this technology that much of us here have fallen in love with.

@puffenuff

Everyone's different, and so what works for you may not work for someone else. Thanks for your input though.
