Im new to this, but ive followed the instructions from various sites. My 3 week old plants grow fine then suddenly shrivvel, lean over to one side then die. I keep them in pots, good compost, in a tank and the soil moist.

Im down to my last one out of NINE!!

My last one is going the same way. Please help me save this little fella.

Im only growing in my room so no fancy setup.

Can anyone help?

First off you shouldnt call it a fella. Second, where are your lights? Your seedlings look mega-stretched. Id throw it away and start over. You need to keep the light close. The leaves should form right above the dirt. Mine do anyway. At least you didnt lose anything. Just start over. keep the light as close as possible without burning plant. I keep a 400 MH like 8 inches away from seedlings and they grow like thick little bushes. Your soil also looks soaked. water, wait for it to dry, then water again. you are drowning them and not giving them enough light

Also, you mention that you have your set up in your room. Consider spending 130 bucks on a small grow tent, that will help a lot in my opinion. That way there is a spot to hang your light, the walls are all reflective, its just a cleaner, neater, more efficient way to go. You will be all set for flowering as they are basically light proof, (you may have to patch up a few small spots easily) but you will be off to a better start. Plus, they are pretty stealth, looks like a portable closet or something. let me know if you need any help, I only have two harvests but this is my new passion and my harvests were dank and boutiful. I also researched for 6 months before I began.

Well, can you place an online order? Go to HTGsupply.com, buy a 150 watt or 250 watt HPS.. it will run you about 100-150 bucks for ever you can use that the whole way, from seed to flower. Or, you can spend an extra 60 bucks and buy a MH conversion bulb which will work with your HPS lamp and that would be the best to use during the vegetive period. You dont need that, but, it will provide better light for vegetive growth...then switch in the HPS for flowering... but, I highly reccomend you buying at least a 150 watt or preferably for better results, a 250 watt. That will allow you to grow some nice, nice buds. Also, think about buying a tent. For about 300 bucks you could have a nice tent, a nice light and be able to grow nice buds. At the very least, buy the light and set up a grow area in an enclosed area like a closet. I use tents and get very nice results. Please feel free to ask me any questions I want you to have a nice harvest. - Cheech Wizard

Not to be ruse, but did you not say you followed all the directions? haha...
Chers man. Follow what the Wizard is telling you.
You plants are overwatered and streched. They need some soft light at the begginning like t5 fluro tubes or a couple 23W cfl's at 6500K... Then, when they are ready, flip to the HID lights, like HPS or MH. HPS is better for flowering obviously...
Don't let this discourage you, as I am sure you are learning... But do your research a plenty before trying again... It will pay off!!!

ya man even if you dont wanna spend to much money then just grab a couple of 45 watts CFL's they work really good and alot less money and put them alot closer than whatever you have because yours are streching for light and thats not good.
