All femenised seeds turning male ! - Cookies Kush

Hello



Well the big shock. After opening my box, i couldnt believe my eyes. 8 out of 8 plant turned male. The seeds should be feminized OFC.
I guess they werent. Im not new at growing but I have no idea how could that happen.

Any suggestions?

I have the same issue. It has hermied a week into flower. After putting so much into this plant it is quite a let down. Was hoping for big things from this plant

Barneys suck dick. I know they have their fanbois here and there, but honestly, they're the weakest most inconsistent breeder there is.

It is so hard for me to comprehend all of this. The only explanation I have right now is that they mixed the seeds during processing stage. (packaging etc)

It is a beauty and such a shame. Veg was 10 weeks. First go round at DWC. We topped it a few times and did a lot of LST. Nets were more of a support system. We are going to cut a few branches and try a reverse spray. The old spray n pray.

I think it's either poor genetics from Barney's or we stressed it too hard with the trimming before flower. New to this so it's only speculation

Do what you can. I hope it turns out OK.
I cant do nothing about it. They are all fully male plants.

That's crazy they are all male. I will not use Barney's again after this experience and hearing other negative stories such as yours. Ours has both male and female flowers and the male ones seem to be lowers and side chutes off the mains.

I've grown numerous things from Barney's i.e. Blue Cheese, LSD, Violator Kush, Critical Kush and a few others and never saw 1 nanner. EVER. It's either they did a bad job picking the mothers of the strain OR user error, which I suspect.

Stress can be brought out by many things, not only light leaks. These include over or under watering, light burn, high room heat, too small pots (root bound), insect and mold attacks, low and high fertilizer rates, etc. Certain additives can also have similar effects.

I dont believe trimming was the case. We both had strong healthy plants. I had seen milion gazilion super trimmed plants with no problems at all. So the stress is not an issue here. And 8 out of 8, cmon.

Yeah. I planted their seeds before. No problems. I had numerous beautiful gardens. With all kind of strains and breeders. And there was a hermi in 1 of 100. Thats ok.
But 8 out of 8. And onemansmokeshow had the same problem with the same strain. And the strain is new. I bet there will be more reports like this. There was a bad batch of seeds. Im quite sure of it now.

Everything was by the book. I really am not new at this.
Humidity 50 - 55%
PH: 6 - 6,5 (soil)
Light: 12/12 / dark room tent
Temperature: 24 ° at day / 18 ° at night
Pots: Air pots 11 litre

I've seen a few others with the same hermie problems with this strain. I grew Barney's Liberty Haze last grow and had some deficiency issues but other than that it did okay. I don't trust their seeds enough any more to put my hard work into.

Had some good barney's and then 4-5 hermi? Yeha wright!

Same shit here, seeds ordered from Alchimia web (spanish), made my first scrog and it looked beautiful until flowering stage... rofl 5/5 males fuck this shit no female flower, had 0 hermi before with same setup, last year with big stress my plants didnt turned hermies.

This spring I planted several types. Cookies kush was one type and I planted 10. Out of the 10 They all started to flower in June outside growing. They are not auto flowering. Late june or early july 6 of the 10 turned Hermefrodite. Just harvested them as they are done and all my other varieits are just starting to flower. All other Barneys products seem normal. I planted Bluecheese. Liberty haze(only 6 grew of 10), vanella kush, and tripple cheese. I bought the seeds from seedman, and they told me there was male problems with the cookies kush and sent me 10 more seeds. I just tried smoking the cookies and they are very low potency, loose buds with big bracks, and some are loaded with seeds despite me pulling the male flowers off the plants(most male flowers were in the crotch of the branches) The smell is not skunky at all but somewhat cat pissey smelling.
.BTW never ever use seeds that come from a hermefrodite. They lose their genetic traits, lower potency, and a plant that is nothing like its original form.
