algae/moss during transplant period

Hi, I have 20 plants that needs to be transplanted right away. But I got algae or mos on the top of the soil which I carefully tried to remove. Now I need to transplant them but was wondering if this is bad for the plant - If I cover the algae with new soil in the new pot, would it affect the growth or the pH level?

Thanks

Btw I also got some algae/moss on one root which is sticking out from the rockwool cube. Is this a bigger problem? Maybe I should've covered the root with soil, but it is too late to do it now in the new pot?
