Alaskan purple auto

It's easier to tell if the lighting is less harsh. I like turning off my LED grow light and just using a little soft light attachment on my phone.

It looks like they're mostly cloudy with some clear to me, from what I can tell. Wouldn't mind another week or so, or they'd also probably be fine to chop down now.

Thank you,I was debating whether to leave it another week to be honest,I'm in no rush for them to be done, they smell gorgeous and some of the calyx are turning purple which says to me they're reaching maturity but not quite there yet.I have a digital microscope but it's very hard to hold it steady and keep focus (only a cheap one).I'm just worried about them going too long that's all.

There is quite a long window where you can acceptably harvest. I wouldn't worry too much about going over, most people tend to chop too soon.

i am new to this. i might be way off here so be forewarned...but you say 40% white pistils? i would wait a bit or get an idea of the general consensus.

**edit i just looked at the pics and good for you. that’s all im gonna add.

I am also new to this,I've only been growing a year and this is my third grow, last one I'm convinced I chopped too early as the calyx were nowhere near as fat,but I went by pistils being brown which through vigorous research I have realised isn't the best way to check, but now I make sure I properly check trichomes,I don't like too much of a couch lock so ideally I think I want around 20-30% amber before I chop.however this particular strain is indica dominant.

I also didn't get the pungent smell with the last one (gsc auto) I mean it smelt quite fruity but this one smells very strong and makes my mouth water

Thank you,I have taken a lot of time reading up on the strain and growing in general,my first grow was absolutely awful but I took what I did wrong and fixed it,I feel like should take something from every grow that I want to better the next time around,I absolutely love growing and learning new things,I started these ones using a phlizon Cree cob 1000w led but then flowered with a 600w HPs as the temperatures started to drop, and she loved it.my other one is a few weeks behind but I'm guessing that's down to the phenotype? They've had exactly the same feed, lighting etc. I'll upload a pic now.

the plant looks fantastic. i would really try to time the chop well and get it right. i don’t have the experience to give you a definitive answer but personally, i want fewer white pistils.

grain of salt. post more pics, zoomed in if you can and wait. as was said, you have a good sized window.
