Alaskan fish emulsion. Anyone use it? Need suggestions.

I recently picked up some of this from home depot for the few weeks of veg I have on my short riders. I just started feeding them about 1/4 strength and they seem to be resonding well. My first question is, am I feeding them to early? There about 2 weeks old from seed. 1 week from breaking ground. check out my grow if you want to peak at them. Oh and there in ffof soil.

My other question is, it says for flowing indoor plants add 1 teaspoon for every quart so I've been adding 1/2 teaspoon in a 2 quart jug and it seems to be doing fine. So when should I up the dose and should I be feeding them this every time they need water or like 1 or 2 times a week?

Thanks,

Alaska is good stuff but it's really not meant for flowering cannabis. You need something with higher PK as well, but it is pretty good for veg. Ideal ratio is like 3-1-2 and 1-3-2 in flower.

Good to know, I was planning on using ff nutes for flowering I just didn't want my girls to get nute burn if its possible to avoid.

you need to be careful, ffof is a hot potting mix.
So you think I should keep it at 1/4 strength for another week or should I even step up the doseage at all? Or do I even need the extra nutes with the ffof?

If I should keep feeding them the fish emulsion should I continue through flowering with the ff flowering nutes? The reason I ask is because I know they recommend the big bloom, grow big and tiger bloom all together in the same gallon throughout flowering..?? Thanks for the help!

i used Alaskan morbloom for flowering it was good.
Humm.. Where'd you pick it up and how much if you don't mind me asking?

I decided to stop using the fish emulsion for at least a couple more days, the plants will be 2 weeks from breaking ground on wed so thats probably when I'll continue the 1/4 strength feeding. Only every other day instead of everyday cause I've been overwatering.. I could still use some help mixing the ff big bloom with this fish emulsion but I still have weeks to go so I'm in no hurry. I'm a little confused because I heard some say to stick with something high in p and low in n and k for flowering but I've also heard people continue to feed it N through flower to keep the leaves nice and healthy..?? Any suggestions?

the fish emulsion picks up the ppms about 100 for every tbls per gallon. so how much you should use depends a lot on your water source. as for myself, after adding ph down to tap, i start about 325-350 ppms. be careful with the alaska more bloom because its about twice as strong as the fish emulsion. someone mentioned fish emulsion with kelp, great combination for building soil

Thanks for the tip mamador1r, I'm using rain water approx 6.2ph with a 1/4 dose of what the fish emulsion recomends. I believe its 1 teaspoon per quart and I'm giving them approx 1/2 teaspoon per 2 quarts. Plants are 2 weeks old today, I just started giving them the nutes again. So how much would say 100 ppm would bring the ph up? because I just checked it and its at about 6.9 and I don't want it to jump any higher?

If you see no sign of stress then keep feeding and up-ing the dose by a 1/4 until at the full recomended dosage, Just remember to read your plants, and use alaska mor bloom for blooming stage if you wanna stick with ALASKA brand but the grotek 6-pack is a great deal for the beginner flower'r at only 25$ from wormsway.com or the recipe for success by technaflora is a GREAT way to start out

Any insite on my last question?? I just want to make sure I don't over feed these!!
You are already over feeding just with the FFOF.

Seedlings need no nutes, either in the soil or added for the first 3-4 weeks.

Then 1/4 strength and work your way up.

WEEKLY, WEAKLY

I do realize that, I was going to go with a different soil to start them in but a couple people said they didn't have a problem starting off in FFoF so I tried it and it seemed to do fine..

As far as the fish emulsion, I did start using it at 2 weeks then backed off. I'm now almost at 3 weeks and I'm debating on even starting back up with it because I just transplanted them to bigger pots so more nutes in the soil..
