Just recieved in the mail 11 onyx reg, 1 mazar kush and 1 OG13. I ordered the onyx because they are a heavy indica autoflower with a nice yield and potency. the other 2 were freebies i doubt will bud up here.
This will be a journal mainly focusing on my autoflowers, I plan to start them in peat pellets for a good 10 days and gradually harden them off for outdoor weather.

Recieved on 5/29/12, with 11 seeds in the little package. When i opened the fucking package I lost 2 fucking seeds on the fucking ground because shortstuff makes their seed packs so goddamn hard to open. anyways.
5/30/12
just checked the seeds at night, one onyx has shown its white tail and a couple more have split open. No good news from the freebies, (the mazar seed is hella small and looks fucked uop so I doubt anything good will come from her). I have 5 sativa bagseed plants goin, best one is on day 15, about 4 inches tall, starting to show its first 5 finger leaf. maybe 3, too small to tell. One thing I noticed about growing outdoors in alaska is that the plants up here seem to be tall as a motherfucker. I grew in san diego and everything stayed at a small size but up here the plants stretch SO much to reach the sun. getting about 18 hours a day of sunlight.
Ill get pics soon
peaceout

Sub'd! I've always been interested in how our plants would do in a climate that has 24 hour sunlight days during the Summer! Cant wait for pics.

Mid day
5 of the 9 Onyx have cracked their seeds, planted 4 in jiffy pellets. Waiting for the other 4 to begin their 70 day life. Both of the freebies Mazar Kush as well as OG13 have cracked their shell, however the white tap root is not long enough to plant. Pictures will come when the cotelydons break the surface, if you want pics of the small sativa seedlings then say so, otherwise I will upload them with the other pics.

IMG_0059.jpgThese are the Bagseed Sativas, largest one on bottom right is about 15 days, the one to its left is around 10, and the smaller ones are all around 5-10 days old.

Me too!

Even though Alaska's real close to the Arctic Circle, and the sun's angle won't as great as it is in the continental USA, 24 hours of light is still 24 hours of light.

Pretty cool!

Can you guys see the picture? and Dr Yo, alaska is known for its North America record holding squash, pumpkin, guords and many other veggies that can grow up here, ive personally grown cabbage that I couldnt wrap my hands around and im not even close to the being the largest veggie gardener out here.

slow growth, only 1 onyx seed has popped its head and its very stretched, the og13 has popped, threw away 1 onyx and the mazar kush because they never sprouted. leaves me with 8 onyx. the outdoor sativas hav grown, I have been leaving them out the last couple of nights. been in the low 40s, high 30s. plants seem fine. Sativas are more of an experiment.

I've always wondered when flowering begins that far north?, you would almost have to do container grows or autos b/c I can't imagine anything finishing before first freeze...unless they flower early due to rapid light decrease in late July?.

Good luck!

hey guys some amazing news! well about two days after my last post I left for a commercial fishing gig on a moments notice. I left 3 living plants up on the mountains in small little containers you see the ones i started em with. anyways. i came back about a week ago and i checkedthe grow. saw three beautiful plants about 1.5 -2 feet tall growing exactly where i left them. they were completely concealed by the dence brush near them. it looked amazing, like three wild marijuana plants haha. anyways since i hadnt transplant them they stayed small, i dont know what plants are what as they got all mixed up.. dumb ass partner who didnt do shit when i was gone.. I believe two onyx plants will give me like 2 grams, the purple plant!!! is giving me maybe 3. i dont know what strain the purple one is because i didnt buy any purple plants. Anyways its great to know that these plants can grow in the wild outdoor weather of alaska without ANY human interaction for 60+ days. I plan on chopping in a week.
anyways im growing the same strains indoors soon and going to seed em and just spread all around alaska. And I am growing in the south central. out of anchorage.
