AK48 Story

I bought a AK48 seed from Nirvana seeds the sprout tail popped out 2 days after I germinated her. I put her in in a little pot under 2 26 watt CFLS and sprayed her with Rhizotonic every other day. After 2 weeks she had stretched 6". I decided it was time to transplant so I put her in a bigger pot curling the stem around the pot so she wasn't as tall after another week. I transplanted for the last time and started to tie her down so it would concentrate on growing new shoots from the bottom as i wanted to take a cutting which you can see in the 3rd picture.

These are the first 3 pictures I took about 4 weeks in to veg.

I started to put her under a 400 watt HPS to speed up the process a bit she started to grow a lot quicker sorry about the poor quality of these pictures.

This is her cutting i am planning on cutting all the new shoots that grow on the sides so it is just one big bud I will keep you informed with both of them.

Nice bush you have there dude! She looks like she will yield heavy. I hear tales of a cherry pheno to the AK48 - hope you've got her, sounds super lush. :-)

Your gonna absolutely love her buds. The AK-48 I grew was not only the heaviest yielding plant I have grown, but the high is the speediest uppity head high of anything I have grown either.

Lookin good man! + rep

Just a up date on her this is about a week and a half in flower here are some pictures. Are the bottom leaves which are yellowing normal ?
Thanks for the replies.

Man, this is great smoke.. makes rock hard nugs, and it is incredibly fruity and sweet.

Also, If I were worried about neighbors smelling, this is the strain I would always grow, as to me, it doesn't smell like weed at all while in flower, it smells more like a citrus tree.

Only this and holy grail kush are permanent fixtures in my garden, everything else is just passing through. HGK scratches my "earthy" itch, and ak48 fulfills my desire for "sweet and fruity".

Honestly I'm surprised I don't see AK48 talked about more often because it is one of my all-time faves...truly a unique bud.

Looking good bro.

I read your message about not getting much action in here.

So I've come in here to fish for some more information about your grow.

Are you testing your strengths of your nute solutions? EC PPM TDS?

What pH are you currently feeding at?

Are you testing your runoff EC PPM TDS?

Rhizotonic as a foliar should be at 1ml per litre. Are you aware of that?

I would highly recommend some Ca and Mg ready for around week3 of flowering.

Are you planning on using PK1314 or any other additives.

Just trying to spark off a little more discussion. Usually threads that get over looked are those growers doing GREAT.

So take it as a compliment that you're not getting much traffic.

The yellow leaves that you're experiencing are from lack of light.

As stated trim up some of the bottom.

With a 400w around 8" off the canopy you get approx 24" of good penetration power.

I grow using 400w hps and I try to keep my plants under 2ft.

I trim around 5" of bottom growth off during the 2 week transition of 12/12.

I have cut off the bottom leaves and bottom branches and give her a feed of Coco A and B and a touch of Canna boost. Its really starting to grow flowers now. Its getting too big for the little tent, She stands 26" from the top of the pot but I am worried that the bud might be leafy as it seemed to stretch a bit.

Don't worry about it.

The buds spiral up those stems and encompass them in bud.

If you want to help reduce stretch next time then you can try to keep day and night temps almost the same. 4C or less difference in day and night temps helps to slow the stretch down.

Looking real good.

If you keep her that green the whole way you should get a bountiful harvest!!!
