AK48 coco grow, 1st try at scrog

They'll get pk13/14 at week 5&6 but I've run out of canna boost and I'm not paying £50 just for these 2 as I'm not sure how long it will keep for so i'll go without it this time and get some more when I start up again next year.
 
Yeah I no the boost cost a arm and a leg it's great stuff but we'll over priced Yesh I think the pk 13/14 will work just fine its great stuff

Yes pk13/14 works well, I've used it since I started its just this time I've run out of boost so will be interesting to see the difference with just the pk :)
 
Yeah i was talking to the owner of the hydro store and he reckons in winter boost works really well and in summer your better off saving the money and just using a PK booster

but i think it all comes down to the temp controls if your room is dialed in you will have a good grow

I popped some new seeds last week GHS Big Bang and Bomb Cheese i am only running one Jack herer on the next grow and let the new seedlings veg for the next 8 weeks going to take a page from your book and get myself a 250W MH for my veg room and just run the 1 600w in the Flower

as i am downgrading i can't smoke as much weed as i have so need to slow things down a bit :)
 
Awesome Red are you finding with out the boost they are not finishing off as fast as they did when you used it :)

you always get them so frosty great job
 
I haven't really noticed much difference to be honest (apart from the extra £50 in my wallet :) ), also this is first time using hempy too so there are bound to be slight differences but we'll see how they turn out.
 
Well I had a BIG shock today when I watered my plants, after researching this afternoon I think they are springtails and nothing to worry about.

I've had the springtail invasion myself and they've never caused any problems for me. They're supposed to eat up dead matter so they don't really affect the root system. If anything they might mess with the ph a little from waste. Just a guess though.
I was curious to how many ML of PK per liter or gallon do you add and how many times do you water on those weeks. Is it just one watering a week with the PK or multiple waterings in a week?
I see you've went hempy so I'm guessing once and if so was it the same with the fabric pots?
Also you said that you'd flush every three waterings to get your PH and ppm back to normal. About how much water do you use for the flush and what's your average runoff? Sorry for the multiple questions but I'm gonna try and mock your grow and see if I can pull off some nice bushes myself. Loving your style man.
It's those little things people don't do that can make the biggest differences in a grow. I've read so many grow journals but no one ever goes into detail from increment PH increase from veg to flower switch to how much runoff they get to how often they do it. Them little things matter so much to beginners trying to dial in that epic grow. Thanks in advance mate :)

Both plants have them and both plants look happy and healthy so I'm just gonna keep a close eye on them. I ran out of rhizotonic so they haven't had any since going into flower and my guess is that there is some dead matter in the coco and the springtails thought it was a buffet so they all turned up lol, as I read they don't damage the plants I'm gonna leave them and see.

I add pk13/14 @ 15ml per 10L of feed and they get 2L of feed every day, I know these are hempys but I haven't changed the amount or frequency of my feeds and I get approx 400ml of runoff :)

Thanks so much for the reply! I was really confused on how much you watered on your PK weeks. I had no idea that you watered everyday with the PK. I've been scared to do that as I've been afraid I'll burn them up or cause Hermies or something. I've just been watering at 4ML a gallon once on the 4th week and once on 5 week and lastly once on the 6th week at half dose (2ML a gallon) Maybe that's why they've not really plumped up majorly like I see yours. What's your total EC once you've added your PK? Do you reduce your main nutes back a lot?
When I was looking at a couple of your grows I noticed that it looked like you topped them down to like the 2nd node to cause them to massive trunks. Was I seeing this right?
I've got girls about ready to to start being topped and I'm gonna take pics of my progress and keep you updated," if you'd like to check it out " and see if I can duplicate exactly what your doing. I think you've got one heck of a method and I can only imagine if you done more than 2 plants and done like 20 plants! Lol, wow that would be nuts at the yield you'd get. Hope you don't mind me being a copy cat but I gotta see if it will work for me. Oh and by the way I'll be doing 1 Dr Krippling, 1 THC Bomb, 1 Critical, 1 Afghan Kush x Skunk and 1 Northern Lights x Big Bud to see the difference between them. I'll most definately be ordering some AK-48 ASAP. I've had my eyes on that strain a while and your proof that it's worth the grow. Cheers mate.
