Thanks bro, I have an o3 generator so you have to get up close to smell them, they are really stinky though. Dude, been falling asleep a lot lately while gassing with my crude torch and the thermostat I installed is working great, it cuts the exhaust fan in at 92 and cuts off at 88 so I can

Yes Mr. B, they're from serious, they come in tubes with serial #s now, mine came in a pack with serial #s, I got them in 2005.

nice man, i got some pics a few dyas back i dont think you have seen. Basically i got one girl that will be done 1st week of may and the other will all take 2-3 weeks longer apparently. Check em out, the first 2 pics is the more mature girl that will be ready soon

Well Saturday night I clipped 2 of the lower branches of the biggest AK and microwaved the buds, the buds were fluffy and not what they should have been, the tops of the 2 branches were more dense and packed a better punch. Last night I clipped the top cola off the same plant, the hairs are about 60% brown and a lot of the trichomes were milky and amber but had at least 1 more week to fully develop. I'm anxious to have some fully cured bud and I figure I have 2 more plants that can go to term.

The 2 other Aks are coming along nicely, the one on the right is sativa dominant, the others are indica dominant.
The future mothers are anxious to give birth
The outside bagseed girl is a hermie, which is cool because I wanted seeds for later ( I think she went hermie from going outside when the days were getting longer). None of the inside bagseed are affected so far.

That AK is just completely amazing, isn't it! I think the pheno's I kept lean more to the sativa side, except one that has awesomely tight nodes so far while staying short too.......so I am hoping. Mine have all but trippled in size in the 2 wks they have been in 12/12, to a height of 34". I will get some pics uploaded one night this week(this site was so slow late last week and this weekend I couldn't upload.......). Do you do much trimmimg of branches in veg?
Are your moms in the dwc AK?<---thinkin' you had said they were. Well, have you cloned any yet, or getting ready to? What all is going to be in your next run? I am running a WW(G13Labs fem freebie) that is just really kicking ass right along side the AK and and already has passed up the AK and my(bread & butter)--> SS as far as bud size
. I had always been leary to try the WW because of the things I had heard about it being hard to clone and burn w/nutes...etc...... Well, that free fem seed I got made an excellent mother(finally hacked her down last night) and I have about 10 of them in 12/12 too.<----never lost a clone; truely the easiest cloning I 've ever done and it's taking on the nutes great at over 1100ppm, better than the AK so far......and have you tried PHing them down to 5.6? I notice quite a difference in veg and flower-----kind of sucks for me as I mix things up in an AF20 and my SS prefers dead on 5.8

She's going to be really nice, I was hoping to get some beans out of her for later but that banana hasn't popped and from what I've read recently on hermie plants it is probably sterile.
Yeah dude, it's an amazing strain, once you are used to it it makes you crave that unique taste of the smoke. I'm glad to hear that your beauties are booming, please post the pics so I can see them. As far as trimming of the lower branches, I did trim the 2 remaining Aks lower branches cause they aren't getting much light and as far as the mothers in waiting, they are indica dominant aks taken from the outdoor ak I chopped last month, you read my mind on beginning the cloning of these 2 mothers so I can have a uniform grow at last. The next run will be stricly ak from clone. I'm disappointed with the bagseed plants that are in the flower room, I thought they stretched due to the light being too high but that's not the case. I read up on hermies and I learned that plants from hermie seeds tend to stretch and most will delay in flowering and that's excatly what has happened to my plants. As far as my PH goes, I've been keeping it between 5.6 and 5.8, all the plants seem to do well in that range. I think I'll be cloning 12 aks in the next several days so they can be ready to go flower once the aks are done, the bagseed will probably go outside. I gave away an ak clone in exchange for 4 beans of ww and northern lights #5 but they weren't labeled and they're from hermies too so I'm not going to do anything with those for a while. This first grow has been a unique experience, I didn't get the results I wanted because of the different ages and sizes of the plants and maintaining them all without killing the little ones or starving the bigger ones was challenging. Bro, if you have an ak pheno that has short internodes and staying relatively short you should make a mother out of her, that's what my mothers are. For the third go around I'll probably send for some different beans, maybe trying the SS you like so much and WW or anything else with at least 20% thc content. And lastly growinman, I welcome your comments and opinions, keep up the great work dude!.Those are all looking great!!

Well I had a couple of near grow ending mishaps but most of the plants will survive, the first mishap was caused by not turning the cool tube exhaust fan on after giving the ladies co2, the temp went up to 101 for about 4 hours! The other near fatal mistake was due to my ph meter going out of wack and reading lower by 1.1, I don't know how long that went on but I decided to check the ph with the test kit and it was in the 4.6 range on all the plants. I've tossed some of the sicker looking smaller plants and I also took 12 clones from the mom aks to get ready for grow #2.

I flushed all the res's yesterday Mr B, they should make it. Here's a pic of the outside bagseed girl that you like, looks like she'll be the only one that will be producing buds, she was also getting low ph water, all the inside bagseed have been disappointing with their late flowering. This one is starting to fatten up and still smelling very fruity, wish I knew what kind of weed she is.

Thanks for stopping by, Ak#2 should have been ready but because of the problems with my PH meter there was no growth for quite a long time, since I fixed the PH issue, both Aks are starting to put on the frost and getting fat again. I nearly killed these ladies with the heat and ph problems. Some of the bagseed girls are finally starting to show promise but man I've supercropped and bent branches on 3 of them, they would probably be about 7 feet now, it's an overgrown mess in the flower room, they're just now flowering at a good pace also though. To answer your question, the 2 aks in a couple of weeks and the rest when the clones are ready probably in the 2nd week of June.

Thanks for checking out my grow, mj is very forgiving. The high heat day did the worst damage. The aks were the worst off. The bagseed plants are starting to fill out and I took a top bud site and tried it and it seems like it will be good smoke, I may wait for them to finish before going to all ak grow #2. I harvested the top colas of ak#2 and ak#3.

Hey B, I've been very busy, summers are brutal at work so I haven't logged in for a couple of weeks, have to catch up on a lot. I went out of town for 6 days and when I came back I had spider mites on the veg side and thrips on the flower side. The infection was pretty bad but is under control now. I got rid of some of the under performing plants in the flower area and only have 2 of the bagseed girls now. I have 8 ak clones ready to go but I'm going to top them so these bagseed ladies can finish. I'll put up some pics of the outside girls (there's one more) tomorrow.
