Went back and forth but finally settled on the following for outdoor.
Most are poking above ground this morning.

-3 Way NL1 (AKBB, ACC, Deep Ellum)
-Deathstar bx
-Black Domina x TKNL5Haze

Will run a few of my own crosses that use AK genetics too.
Haven’t narrowed those down yet, but Red Grape Lebanese x Ike’s Afghani will be one of them.

I found some awesome plants in that three way NL1. Thick, narcotic, acrid bliss. Hope you find some gems. Currently in the final few weeks of his NL5Haze and I am really impressed with how they look and smell.

Little update on the rockwool germination.

As with most learning moments, major progress with minor setbacks.

The good; Of the 20 seeds planted, 17 seeds popped, and the other 3 look like they might still make it.

The bad; by day 3 (4 since chemical scarring), only two had popped through the rockwool. I have a dab tool, never used, that I keep for poking and prodding rockwool. I sterilized the tool, put on gloves, sterilized the gloves, and did some exploration. The seedlings seemed to be struggling to figure out which way was up. So I gently maneuvered the heads and tucked some rockwool under them.

I realize this was risky. Hopefully fortune really does favor the bold.

As long as you planted the root pointing down, and tucked some rockwool around the shoot, you're good to go.
Looks like I got some seeds without vigour, Golden Goat. Bubba Haze crosses doing much better.

UNFORTUNATELY I didn’t keep any of them. They all were nice but not what I was looking for. Most leaned toward the testarossa side after cure.
One made a complete reversal and presented characteristics of testarossa in flower and cured up super skunky! All in all I’d run another pack if I had one

Ok thanks for the response, bummer you didn’t find what you were looking for. How was potency on smoke?
I‘ll update as outdoor progresses, tiny seedlings right now.

For curiosity sake, what characteristics of testarossa could I be on the lookout for? Never grown or smoked it or deathstar, for that matter.

No bummer! I hunt a lot, but select very few to keep. Aka I’m picky haha. Moderately potent/potent but I feel that varies per person. Deathstar (that I recall) stacks tight nodes with fat fat buds. I’ve never grown much aficionado stuff so all I got from testa was zkittle/candy terp…far from my preference personally

Please keep us updated on the NL5 x Haze. That stuff was the shit back in the 90s. Ive got 5 packs of it from AKBB. I had a cross of 1990 NL5 x Haze x Nevils Hashplant x Sk1. and it was the best stuff I had seen in 20 years. Its was so potent some claimed I put PCP in it. One of my friends old girlfriend is still mad at me, since 1994, because she said I put PCP in it. She was sick and gagging for 4 hours. Had to stay on the floor beside the toilet to dry heave. It was also super choke, and wasnt safe to drive and smoke, because it could make you lose your vision for several seconds after a toke. And then youd be coughing your brains out. It reeked of catpiss, and flowers/honeysuckle, and tasted like the finest floral hash that was ever made. It had no ceiling, and would keep you high for 4-5 hours. It was a very balanced high in that it would send you into orbit, but at the same time make you want to just sit around, and listen to music. All in all, it was heavier on the sativa side. It also had a heavy, drunk type crash. No easy come down off of this stuff. I lost it to the feds, when a partner ratted me out. If I could have this strain again, my seed buying days would be over. Id give $1000 for 10 seeds of it, without thinking about it.
I gave my partner 500 clones to put on his 1000 acre farm., and he got busted with them, and then they came after me and found 750 more. Needless to say I spent from 1997-2009 under the thumb of the feds. 7 years behind the fence, and 5 years supervised release.

The NL5 x Haze was the Female Side, and the Hashplant/Sk1 was the male side.

I plan on eventually doing an extensive pheno hunt of the NL5 x Haze, and breed it to Crickets and Cicada Skunk x Puck BC2, and see what comes of it. Ive got 5 packs of the C&C Skunk x Puck BC3. The Puck came from Nevils original Hashplant. So all the basic original genetics are there, its just a mattr of finding the bestof the best from each strain, and hope they match up. Id really like to go through at least 100 Females of the NL5 x Haze.

God damn I like your style. I am in the middle of a tragedy that started with 18 NL5xHaze seedlings from Professor P and akbb, and is down to 6, and its not looking too good. Totally my fault, but the intention was to get some seeded bud and eventually make crosses with the g13xhashplant crosses from Crickets Cicadas, 1990s master kush, and kush 4 x g13xhp from bohdi. The dream isn't dead, I still have a dozen or so consumption seeds from AKBB, but I gotta get my shit together and do them justice on my next go.

If you end up with spare beans from any part of this experiment, let a brother know.

So with about a week left before chop my experience with the NL5haze has been pretty positive overall. As usual his packs had some strong males, 2 out of three were "bloody" phenos with the red sap. All were vigorous and healthy as shit but one stood out with its pine, and what I can only refer to as "grapefruit musk", aroma. I used the bloody grapefruit male to make some single branch pollinations of my NL5Haze females as well as 2 Red Grape Leb x Hawaiian Cat Piss females (which I can report on at a later date as I don't really fancy writing so much) so I will have some future beans to hunt through. The females that popped out for me have been as follows:

(2) phenos are compact plants with very very compact and dense nugs. Like neutron star nugs, I keep waiting for them to implode on themselves. Suuuuper duper frosty that really does kind of glisten under the lights. Deep purple towards the end of flower and a bright lemon lime starburst aroma. These definitely kill it in the bag appeal department so fingers crossed the effect matches it.

(1) pheno is definitely sativa leaning, taller and more slender than its siblings with slightly paler green and narrower leaves. Spear shaped nugs that smell heavily of bazooka bubble gum.

(1) pheno is compact in structure like the 2 first females mentioned but the buds are big and chunky and look more spongy.

As soon as they are dried and cured I will give a smoke report on both the NL5Haze and the Red Grape Leb x Hawaiian Cat piss.

Oh by the way, seems all of us are planning similar crosses with the AKBB NL5Haze and the Crickets and Cicadas puck crosses. I was planning on hitting the NL5Haze and the Red Leb x Cat Piss with my pack of Sensi Star x Puck. Great minds think alike, really excited to see how all these crosses come out.

OK, so I have a great harvest report for the freebie I received: AKBB DeathStar X ACC RKS
I just harvested a whole tent of 70 day strains at 67 days flowering.
G13 Labs Midnight Kush
AKBB Deathstar x ACC RKS
Seed City Bruce Banner
Seed City Black Domina (lower half buds at 67, upper half chopped at 50 days)
WOS Colombian Gold

I started wet trimming today by harvesting the Colombian Gold, which was unique smell, close to Ace Panama White pistil pheno, but with a strong menthol/camphor undertone.
The AKBB DeathStar x ACC RKS and man that RKS is coming out. Pungent, acrid, Skunk spray smell at day 67 wet, very close in the nose to a strain i found in a Colorado dispensary this last month named "Road Kill Skunk #2", which smelled like runover dead road kill skunk from the Appalachian mountains, where I spent my youth. REALLY Excited for what this smells like after a cure.
Next up, while trimming the G13 Labs Midnight Kush, this smell that i can only describe as acrid, ammonia, cat piss, skunk all rolled into it, was very noticeable when trimming at arms length, also creating a kind of film in my mouth.
Black Domina was a unique smell, not really sure at this point what to reference with. But at 70 days vs 50 days, the unique smell is a bit more pronounced before the cure.
I still have the Bruce Banner to cut down after posting this, smells of Strawberries.
I hope this helps those looking for that old school smells, all of which predate me.

I hit a nice Sensi Star x RKS from AKBB with a few Hunza Valley91 males awhile back.

Very nice feel good upbeat high, very potent to the head, can almost be too much sometimes having to catch your breath. Smells like overripe bananas and mango, spice almost like a Thai, and definitely a sulfury skunk funk, especially the flavor. Also hit her with Booty, TKNL5Haze haze dominant, and some others. ✌

digging thru 2 full packs of his 88G13/HP
one had 13 and the other had 16 seeds. he always stuffs the pack more than the stated 10
so 29 total plants to hunt i thought i would loose a certain percentage due to germination % variation
but i got all 29 to pop all within 24 hours and all 29 are looking good
Ak's grem rates on stock he produces is great
run a couple of his packs so far

Curious if anyone has tested any of these strains for PM and mold resistance? Or noticed while growing any that they did much better than the others? I know Freezland has it in the description but seeing if there's any others.
