Airpots Club

@Violater. That's probably what I will do too if I decide to go with the air pots. I thought for a test, I would give the pots the best shot I can. Seems to me that planting in small pots and transplanting in steps will make the plant 'feel' the air pruning sooner.

I found them on ebay for quite reasonable prices. This vendor was very helpful. He combined shipping and added a couple more pots that weren't listed as per my request.

This grow was all autos and like you, I interfered as little as possible. Just some LST. Next one will be photoperiods.

How did the LSTing work with the A F? I think with the Critical Mass it will work well because they had alot of side branches that were level and just the main cola, you would only need to tie down abit to get a an even canopy

how would u rate the airpots are they good..
They seem to work better to me, especially in all the comparison grows I've seen. They definitely keep your plant from wasting energy on root circling and instead filling in the soil with more roots! *If you use mykos too it starts to look like shredded wheat its so crazy
I've never ordered any from ebay, been going to growers-inc.com myself, they ship from cali and it arrive in 2-3 days tops up around Seattle

They seem to good to me though i have never done a side by side grow
Yeah I don't know if I believe the 'as good quick as hydro', but I think there is no reason not to use them *except maybe one may end up having to feed/water more often because the plant grows better? and some people might not have the time

I think I plan to eventually get one of those ring shaped drippers and put one up for each of my air pots and run an auto drip to keep the soil at a pretty constant/consistent level of moist (not too wet or dry). I think that would practically rival hydro especially with mykos on top of the tons of smaller roots (micro fungus looks like hairy extensions on the roots).

I am growing 2 Green-o-matics, 1 White Dwarf and one Oil. All autos.

I LST'ed all of them and it went great. The Gmatics will be in at about 60 days from harvest! The other two were very late flowering. Dunno why but it had nothing to do with LST since I dont do that until it starts stretching.

The oil wants to be an xmas tree so I dont know how it will go. The other three are very bushy and I did the same as you except I folded the main stem down so that it was the same height as the side shoots.

For LST I am very gentle and pull the branch down in 2 or 3 stages by shortening the cord a little each time to avoid stressing the plant.

This grow is logged in my sig.

I was only watering every other day maybe every 3rd depending on how hot my tent is and thats 2L of feed going through it

There is a simple hydro that uses wicking from a reservoir tray. Wicks come out from the bottom of the pot and hang into the water/nutrients bath. Never done it. Seems like it would be trivial with an airpot. Not sure about using it for soil.

@WOWgrow. wow!
