hello fellow growers

so after a day of having to put new extraction pipes in my grow im wondering if i put a aircon unit in and scrap the pipes as with having 2 tents 1x1x2m and a third 1.2x1.2x2m on the way im going to be having 3 intake pipes an 2 exhaust pipes yeah i know im missing and exhaust but i use Fluro tubes for cloning and early veg so try to keep the heat in (i grow in a bedroom and used to pull my cold air from my attic/loft but have recently converted it into a new bedroom so I have cut off my supply of cold air) and I am already at the start of having heat issues and fighting daily with my temps I grow in a 3.5mx3mx2.8m bed room
I have 2 tents and a home made cloning tent but I plan on having 3 tents clone/early veg tent with 3 55w floro’s tent veg tent 1x600whps flowering tent 2x600w hps so I will need an aircon to help me unless you all have a better idea an that’s why im here the air con is £459 im open to ideas
****Taking air from outside isn’t an option****

This Challenge Air Conditioner features 1 speed settings which can be easily operated by the electronic panel. By recycling warm air into cool air it will leave your room at exactly the temperature you want.
· Output 8000BTU.
· Energy efficiency class A.
· Suitable for room size up to 12-19m².
· Size H74.9, W34.9, D38.1cm.
· Requires external ventilation.
· Includes 150cm hose.
· Castors for easy movement.
· 1 speed setting.
· 24-hour timer.

A) could i do away with most the extraction pipes and use the air con as my cool intake rig a Y split into my duct and split into each tent with a 85cfm fan pulling from each pipe to the tent

B) do u have to vent the hot air out the grow room if you using an air con ?

C) what other problems do aircons bring into the grow room???

I'd just seal it up and add CO2 if investing in an airconditoning unit.
you could also put the lights on a sealed air loop, and it would save money on air conditioning battling your lights.
just push the heat from the lights into an attic or something

be careful if doing a sealed light/sealed grow, that the temperature differential isn't too great, or you'll see condensation which invites mold

if you don't mind combating the lights with the a/c ($$$), then that would be the easiest

if taking air from outside isn't an option , that a/c unit isn't gonna work because it says you need to vent it outside.

i cant push or pull anything into the attic after putting the supporting steel and 6x2" joists down i filled under the new floor with insulation board its about 1ft total id have to drll through the loft/attic is no longer an option for air i have to use that room's air alone now

i cant drill through the wall to outside as i have a double brick layer (Cavity wall) then cladding(for you american guys its insulation boards screwed to the brick outside then cement/plaster over that then weather proof paint) works out to about a 11" thick wall

its a pain in the F**kin ass

Air extraction can be a huge pain for sure...the heat has to go somewhere. You can use the AIRCON to cool and dehumidify but ive never seen a portable ductless AC. You're going to have to get creative. Can't you drill into the plaster and intake from cavity wall?

the cavity wall is insulated with fibreglass
ive just has a look an the air con needs an intake so im gonna have to rethink

this is called a combination hammer
you can use it to use as a hammer drill; made for drilling through cement / brick
you can also use a chisel, and set it to chisel, it will reciprocate back and forth.
if you wanted you could put a hole in the wall by taking out a few bricks, or by making drill holes to outline the hole you want, then switching to the chisel, to use to break in -between the drill marks.

just putting it out there, i wasn't sure if you knew how to do it.
know that it's important you don't compromise the structural integrity of your house

that a/c needs an intake, or you can get a wall mount mini split, and run refrigeration lines to an outdoor condensor. This would require a much smaller hole and you could use a hammer drill to get the lineset outside.

you need a vacuum pump, gauges, and several other HVAC tools to do this properly

for an a/c unit there's no way around it; you have to get the heat pumped to the outside, whether it's a portable with a duct, or a condenser/coil combo

yeah i know how to use SDS drill as ive said that isnt an option as the wall is 1ft thick the diamond hole cutter is over £350 to cut a 5" hole in the wall

thanks for your help looks like im gonna have to find a way to get air from outside
