air to bud ratio and jar sizes when curing.

Just curious I suppose. I preffer to cure with the jar packed 3/4 full with 1/4 left for air. No significant reason for it really just easier to keep em mixed without handling them.

I have a friend who prefers to pack the jars to the brim. What is ur preference and why? If any reason lol.

I always see discussion on curing techniques but I never really see much mention in terms of how full each jar should "ideally" be. I assume this is because it likely doesn't make any significant difference either way but would love to hear input.

You need space for that air to go to the top; if not moisture will recycle through the buds causing it to either mold or take for-fucking-ever to dry.

I never had any mold issues packing the jar. I just hated handling the buds more than necessary myself so I leave room to stir. I could see mold being an issue if someone were to have a different technique for sure..

I'm curious about why the reluctance to handle?

Once I've done the initial dry I slow cure them in 1/2 gallon jars about 3/4 full. Once I have the moisture level where I want it, I re-pack them into wide mouth pint size jars and vacuum seal them. Only problem with the pint size jars is that a large-long bud won't fit. I was using the quart size jars for a while but prefer the flexibility of the smaller jars. I sorta have a weed cellar at this point.
