Air pump size question

running an RDWC,4x 5 gallon sites, 27 gallon res. Probably 30 gallons or so when full. Wondering what size air pump I need to oxygenate the water in my system? I’ve heard 1 watt per gallon, but watts don’t really have anything to do with how much air It puts out. So does anybody know what size pump in LPM/GPH I’ll need to oxygenate my water? Thanks.

I have the same system,I use to use a 40 l/min pump it would run 12 air stones so i had some in veg, bubble cloner and flower.Ph would rise crazy daily. Now i run a 4 outlet pump much smaller, but what i really notice is how much less ph down i use.
So having too much air IME isnt a good thing.I also run waterfalls but they dont do much when pails are full of roots.
Hope this helps.Ill find out how big my pump is for ya.

yeah I also run waterfalls, I was worried that the rootball might lessen the effect of the waterfall when plants are full grown. So the eco air 4 will suffice for a 30-ish gallon system?

I use the 4 stones in the pails. And do the flumming thing in the res with a T and a valve. Seems to work fine.

hey also, I know this is off topic, but this is my first hydroponic grow. I was planning on 4 plants in a 4x4 tent. Assuming that will be about a 6 week veg? Would u mind sending me a feed schedule for a 6 week veg and all the way to through flower? it would be MUCH appreciate!!!

A 4x4 is pretty small,2 week veg and youll still run out of room if they stretch at all.
What nutes do you have and what is your water?

For real? They’ll fill out a 4x4 in 2 weeks even with topping and list? I’ve decided on a few things to minimize stretch too: extra blue light during stretch phase, maybe bushmaster, and some other things. Nutes: flora trio, cal mag, floralicious plus, hydroguard
Water: RO

oh I probably should have mentioned I’m starting from seed. Don’t have room for a mother

Ya seeds will take a while longer. Pending on strain and how you like to train. I think you’ll be full but with a tent you can access both sides.

Hey, @myke i forgot to ask. What kinda of air stones do you use with the EcoAir4 253GPH air pump? Size? Cylindrical? Spherical? Disk? Brand?
