Air Pump Operating Temperature, How hot does your pump get?

Air Pump Operating Temperature, How hot does your pump get.

I've got a sunle@ves 950 GPH air pump, and it's hot, its like 117 degrees F. My Res temp is like 75 min and climbs to 77, 78. room temp is like 79. I know back pressure can be a problem and that could be my problem. Please help, +REP

Bumpity bump. I'm to poor to afford a chiller. stupid POS air pump make to much heat... out

They get hot. Try to use a longer hose before the manifold if that is possible. Id say I get a few degree increase in my water temps because of the huge ass air pump I use.

Edit : Ya I use the one that is the size up from that one. "I think" It take about 6 foot of hose before the air temp starts to come down.

i have my pump hanging from bungee cords from the ceiling so the noise isnt to loud and i can put them in the current from the fans.

I had a few diffrent pumps onMy big fish tank.The bigger ones ran cololer then the lil cheep one's. If that will help you any for when you look to upgrade
