No expert here, but I think you would be better off using a drip stlye watering with your geopot sitting elevated above the tub. I believe the benefit of these pots is aeration of the soil, which 'air prunes' the roots at the container edge. This prevents spiraling and encouragess root tips to divide and grow more finely at the ends, improving nute uptake and general plant health. I think immersion in water will lead to root issues. I am trying my first geo-pot. 15 gallon, organic soil mix (3 years and going strong) water only. Vegged a med man purple pain killer for 2 months+, lollypopped her and she is in week 7. Most massive plant I have ever grown. I put a large tupperware lid use an old barbecue grill on 2 wood blocks in the lid. Had to get used to increased water usage and watch carefully not to let dry out (I hand water), but I have managed well so far. She is looking so much more than her clone sister (grown in 5 gal plastic) and I am really pleased so far with the geopot. I' too old and paranoid to post pics dankthizz, but I feel these type pots are worth a go, takes a bit of adjustments, but Its worth it so far. Again just my unfiltered opinion, hope it helps.
