Air cube active oxygen ebb and flow questions ?

100% new to hydroponics . I’ve always grown in soil both in and outdoors . I have a 20x 28 foot flower room I’m finishing up now . I’m eyeing the 36 site system above in the title , every pot is 5 gallons. How large is the footprint on this system? Does anyone have experience with it ? I’ve always used fox farm nutes , and that’s my plan is to continue on with fox farms , just skittish because I’ve never put them directly into a reservoir that continuously floods and drains back , so concentration , timing , etc are gonna be a new ballgame so to speak.

My ceiling is 3 sided “half a hexagon “ so I intend to run my lights in rows of 3s “two tilted in on opposite sides , one directly over head “ All king led 3000w , 15 of them .
Any advise ? I know most will say go with a higher end lighting system but I’ve honestly had several very successful grows in 10x10 tents running the above mentioned lights . As far as budget lights go, I’ve yet to see something at their price point out perform them .

Hey what’s going on man I’m currently running the air cubes with soil! It’s my second run with them and I’m def happy with the system overall. The biggest benefit is the ability to run whatever medium you want, soil being the least preferable but still possible! I chose to run soil with a layer of clay pebbles on the bottom of the pots on both runs just because of trips I had planned. Soil gave me the ability to feed right before I left and they would be fine the entire time I was gone. I run house and garden nutrients and I’ve had great success. Make sure you keep an eye on the water level and top off the reservoir when needed! The reservoir will def have a tendency to swing in ph so being there when I water is crucial. The whole system is pretty customizable though as long as all of your piping is the same length and everything is on a level surface it will work as intended. I started with 12 on my first run and cut it down to 8 for my current run. One giant negative of the whole thing is that shit reservoir they provide. Just do yourself the favor and get a trash can from Lowe’s or water tank from tractor supply. The res you make will be night and day better from the one that comes in the kit!! If you have any other questions just let me know

I’ll definitely take your advice on the reservoir .
I want to experiment with lighting . I’ve ran these King LED’s with excellent results in the past , and we’re gonna flower the room on the king LED’s our first run , then flower the second time with either gavitas or spydr 2i leds . We want to see how substantial the difference is , when you step up to a light that cost 4-5x as much .
My guess is the results won’t be as lop sided as a lot of people will expect .

At the end of the day the light meter and its total output are king, I see a lot of ppl just paying for a name. I run two mars hydro fc 8000s and I also have a medic grow smart 8. Both great lights that put out a ton of light and are fairly inexpensive to run on full blast

do I use the same nutrients I normally used in soil and outdoor ?
Or do I use their soluble nutes ? Everything I’ve used previously was fox farms liquid , the soluble is dry, I’m also going to do a filtration system for my tap water - as it’s town water and is high in chlorine content . I have a stainless steel sink I’m going to install upstairs , as it will be the easiest way to have water right on site .

should I run an intake and exhaust fan continuously through the room as well ?

I would use the liquid form of nutes personally but I’m sure you could use either or and it would be fine. What’s great about house and garden is the app feeding chart, makes mixing properly a breeze. I def recommend intake and exhaust fans especially with the size of the space you are going to have. I have a 2x8 lung room feeding the 10x8 sealed grow room. I pull fresh air in with a 8 inch ac infinity fan, another 8 inch ac infinity fan with a carbon filter then feeds the room and gets filtered with a uv air purifier. Inside the room I have two six inch ac infinity fans that I use for exhaust when the lights go out. I also have four wall mounted hurricane fans to ensure constant air movement!
