Okkk so my plants started like losing the outer layer on the leaves? I don't know why, haven't added any fertilizer, all we did was add an extra light and a fan..any ideas??? I have included pictures of our setup and the leaf that is affected. We have 2 40watt bulbs 2500 lumens each. Temp is around 85 degrees.

The foil is bad.

Aluminum Foil:
Aluminum foil is no more than 55% reflective - if used, make sure that the dull side is the one that is used to reflect the light. When it becomes creased its reflectivity is even lower (around 35%.) It is also very dangerous to use because it creates hotspots easily, is electrically conductive, and is a fire hazard when it is in close contact with HID lighting. Attaching this to walls is a pain and usually using aluminum tape or glue is the best way. This should only be used as a last resort, and even then its usefulness is questionable.

85 is too hot.

Growroom should be totally bug free. The grow area should be completely clean.

You must ph test.

hi
yeah you need to fert your plants but when you grow and its into flowering and your leaves are fading its means that your giving it what it needs

ok...so take the foil off and just leave the plain white walls? And what should the ph of the soil/water be? Also they are not into flowering so I'm pretty sure the fading of the leaves shouldn't be happening...and what temperature should it be?

Flat white paint:

Self explanatory; a great option for large grow rooms or for people who are interested in a low maintenance wall. Flat white paint has the ability to reflect between 75-85% of the light, and does not create hotspots. Adding a fungicide is recommended when painting.

Marijuana thrives in neutral to slightly acidic mediums. Soil and soilless mixes should aim for pH of 6. Hydro growers should go slightly lower which helps prevent pythium and other root rots-- 5.5 to 5.7 is ideal.
A humidity and temperature gauge are essential in any growroom.

Daytime conditions should be 70-80 degrees without co2, 80-90 degrees with co2 until the last two weeks when daytime temps should be kept between 70-80 and co2 can be reduced to adjust for the lower metabolism. Night temperatures should be kept above 60 degrees to prevent stress. It is preferrable during flowering to have a night temperature drop of 10-20 degrees to stimulate flowering hormones and reduce stem elongation.

Hi Happy,

The pH level of the water determines what NUTRIENTS your plant can EAT (absorb)... sooo.. if your pH is not correct then your plants can not EAT.. and if they can not eat, it is difficult to diagnosis a deficiency...

:)

you can get a great pH tester from any hydro store.. they cost about $5-10

it could be watering or something really odd i haven't seen in years, magnesium deficiency, so that your plant has trouble then to build chlorophyll for its photosynthesis. but since you are on soil that is more them odd, did you re-use this soil maybe?? because i know it only from rockwool:-|

nope not reused soil, mixed together perilite, sphyangum moss, and treated soil...no rockwool...the leaves are really dry and brittle like one you would find on the ground thats all crunchy..
