ddd.jpg fff.jpg ggg.jpg Third week in flowering and the two side branches that I had sprayed with CS are showing up with I think are both sexes as if they are Herms.... Shot a few pics (best that I can get with my camera) so that you can see them for yourself and please let me know what you say it is. The complete rest of the plant is normal female, only the two branches that I had sprayed for nine days are turning out like this. I thought that CS makes males not Herms......or is this just a freak thing.... thank you for any feed back

Stop worrying about it. You will get seeds. CS is essentially something you use to force hermies.
No, I believe that is incorrect information.from my understanding CS converts a female to a full blown male not into a herm. Because you would not want to have a herm genes carried on through the pollen that's created.

there are no herm genes if it hermied because you sprayed it with a chemical like cs.. the only reason it grew balls was because you sprayed it with cs.. no cs, no balls..
spraying a plant with a chem like cs does nothing to alter the dna, so if the plant was stable before you sprayed it, the offspring will be just as stable as the mother..
and yes, it's doing exactly what it's supposed to be doing to get fem'ed beans..

thank you everyone for your input. But my question is if someone that's familiar with growing can look at my pictures and let me know if this is a herm or a male thank you very much

it's not a hermie, it's growing balls because you sprayed it with a chemical which inhibits female flower growth, and promotes male flower growth.. it is in effect, a hermie, but that's only because of the cs..

[QUOTE="racerboy71, post: 11201612, member: 10154thank you that makes sense to me I understand that. what threw me off was I have had males pop up every so often on me on grows, and the males had no little hairs this one has the hairs and the little ball sacks for pollen or banana things I'm not sure what you call them but it has both of them that's why I thought it might be herm compared to my other males that I've had in the past that showed no hairs

see, if it's a true female to start with, it will only have two xx chromozones, therefore any pollen created from that plant using a chemical like cs will only carry the x chromo, therefore all of the seeds made from said pollen will all be female..

this is where i see a lot of people getting confused about feminzed seeds.. they all say it;ll carry the hermie trait over to the offspring.. but so long as the parent plant was stable, and the only reason it grow balls in the first place was because someone sprayed it with cs, then the offspring will be just as stable and unlikely to hermie as the parent was..
some strains are notorious for being unstable to begin with, like say og kush, trainwreck and sour diesel to name but a few.. w/e you work with those strains, being they carry a hermie gene, pretty much any x you make with them will have a greater potential to go hermie some where down the line.. of course breeders try and work out that trait, but it's not the easiest of things to get rid of in the genetic poll since the hermie trait is said to be dominate instead of recessive..
hope that helps a bit m8..

In my experience, i do a seed run every cycle, and i make feminized seeds, i always have BOTH male and female parts on the branch that i sprayed. Usually the male flowers are on the bottom of each internode while the pistils are on the top of the internode.....much like a hermie. On the top cola its just a mashup of both flowers.

I have used CS numerous times and your plant is doing what it is supposed to.

You are spraying a chemical onto a branch of a female plant. You are not changing the sex of the plant, you are forcing the plant to herm and produce male flowers.
