thanks i was gonna follow what this guy does
http://medicalmarijuana.com/how-to-make-hash-ice-water
i wanted to ask you though what do you do with your hash after you take it outta the bag? do you just let it sit for a certain amount of hours? put it in the fridge or freezer? this is the only part i havent figured out
you wanna dry hash out over the course of 48-72 hours just like you would weed. not sure if it needs to be dark but my drying/curing room is anyway. i stick the wet hash on a mirror or piece of marble i have left over from a house i built. i let it sit in the room at 50% humidity and it usually takes 3 days to dry out. you can then heat it up in the sun or under a lamp. not too much, just enough to make it easy to mold. then you can use plastic wrap to tighten it up into balls. i use a pollen press. same difference though. then you can sell it. i actually cure mine in a jar like i do my herb. curing hash can actually increase the flavor.

and how do you know when its dry? do you have to chop it up into fine pieces before you start drying it?

it will spread out thin when it's all watery still. so you don't need to break it up. you'll know when it's dry by the consistancy. it will become like hard clay almost. it will have a little flexibility to it but not much. at 45-55% humidity 2-3 days is all it will need.

  • i just stopped using dyna gro permanently at day 17 in flower after i saw how slow the plants were growing and i was even doing a 50/50 mix of grow and bloom. ive been running my blubonic at 3-400 ppm (ec x 500) and even though the plants are healthy the growth rates arent there. last crop i ran sensi 2 part with big bud and my plants were 3 ft after 21 days. using dyna grow none of my plants are even 2 ft tall and theres only 4 days of growth left so i know there not gonna reach anywhere near 3 ft. usually when i use the 2 part i notice big jumps in growth daily in early flower like 2-3 inches and then im all exited but with the dg i never noticed this happening so i was worried the whole time. and its not about dialing them in cause everything is healthy. homebrewer i dont know about connoisseur but all i can say is the 2 part with big bud is the shit and im never doubting it again no matter what anyone says. no one can say i never tried out the dg and i had high hopes of using it permanently but i cant use it anymore.ive noticed other people talk about you shouldnt use dg during the first few weeks of flower for certain reasons but you should switch to it later so i dont know maybe its better to use it after the stretch. there is no doubt in my mind what so ever the 2 part/big bud grows my plants much faster than dyna gro. i just wanted to start this thread to let people know i tried both and this is what i think. also if anyone has tried both please post your results. after what i saw im confident alot of people will see the same results i did
horrible results with dyna grow bloom the smoke had a mild "chemical" taste even with a proper flush. advanced part A+B crystal brust 0-15-15 best results

Why are you over 2 weeks into flower and still using half grow nutrients?

Also, you're trying to say that your plants grow to 3 feet in 21 days?
That's 36 inches in 21 days. Lets even say your clones start at 6, thats still 30 inches in 21 days. Seems a little fast.

Judging growth rates by how tall they get isnt the best standard of measurement. Try instead by measuring node development. How many nodes your plant will develop over a time frame...
Reminds me of a neighbor in college bragging about how fast his plants vegged. I went over there and saw he had like 8" internode length.

Just thought that was weird..

And to address the people arguing about strength of concentration in Drnygrow vs AN... Just get 2 bottles of water, 1liter in each.

Add 2 TBSP of nutes and see which one has a higher ppm. Arguing over a thread isnt going to answer your questions, and no one can learn from this.
my plants werent all 6" tall when i flowered them they ranged from like 6" to 1' tall. all the answers are in this thread if you read it i grew my plants with dyna gro and the sensi 2 part under the same conditions and veg growth with dyna gro is extremely slow. i had plants that were at least a third bigger when i used AN and earlier in this thread i posted healthy pics of plants that were grown with dg to prove i was using it correctly. several other people in this thread also agreed that veg growth with dyna is extremely slow

there should be a summary of each thread on a sidebar. that way you don't have to keep explaining the same thing over and over. lol...:bigjoint:

scooby i got something i wanted to talk to you about. my plants are in day 15 of flower and they havent shown any signs of starting to flower yet and im starting to get a little worried. in the past ive let things go above 300 ppm to see how things go and my plants always get tip burn and leaf curl but they never took this long to flower before. it might sound kind of crazy but with this one strain i got blubonic it seems like the healthier i keep the plants the longer it takes for them to flower. my crop is extremely healthy right now and i havent had one problem. i made sure i never went over 300 ppm from day one and all leaves are healthy. is it possible that the plants arent getting enough big bud and its causing the plants to flower later? i started using big bud on day 8 at the ratio we talked about before which is 50% ml of the 2 part. im starting to think that because my ppm is so low because the plants cant handle the nitrogen, than maybe i should be measuring big bud by the gallon instead of doing that ratio. with all the other additives it doesnt matter but i read in another thread that big bud makes your plants flower sooner so maybe its a good idea to do this to make sure the plants get enough of it. because of whats been happening i just bought some bud ignitor and added that tonight to see if that can hurry up and make them flower. i heard bud ignitor makes plants flower in as few as 3 days.

just to give you a heads up of what ive been using. first week i used 2 part bloom, barricade, and b-52. now ever since the second week ive added big bud and bud candy plus everything else plus starting bud ignitor tonight. could the b-52 be delaying flower at all? i know AN says not to add it the first 2 weeks but i thoughs that was because it cuts the stretch down which affects yield. this clone i got stretches a little too much so i figured fuck it il just use b-52 from day 1. what are your thoughts on this scooby am i blowing this whole thing outta proportion or is this a problem? and theres no light leaks. this is the best crop ive grown in my entire life so far because im using my new aeroponics system everything is going so fuckin incredible except for this one thing

hey tree. i would't be worried too much. i think it has more to do with your new setup. actually, in an aeroponic, rdwc, or undercurrent system the nutrients are more readily available to the plants because water is actually your growing medium and since it is so aerated the plants can uptake it much more efficiently. this is why a lot of guys run much lower ppm's in these type of systems. if your plants are super healthy i wouldn't even worry about it. i think if anything they are in better shape than your last system and you are probably just getting a slightly longer stretch period. maybe due to the availability of the nutes. i wouldn't worry at all. if it was a nutrient problem i think your plants would show you that.

thats the first thing i started thinking but have you ever grown a strain thats mostly indica that showed no signs of flowering in 15 days?

plenty tree. i wouldn't even worry. in my opinion...the quicker you put them into flower the longer you have to wait for them to show sex. most times when i do 2 month veg periods or such, my plants are showing sex in veg. i tried a couple SOG experiments and some of my strains took a 11-20 days to show sex. i think it takes them longer when they are younger and you switch them to flower. plus the new system might be adding to it. sounds like your plants are really healthy, that's all you should be worried about.

i hear you i thought stuff like that was only relevent when you grow from seed. you just made me feel so much better what a relief lol. it would be a travesty if something went wrong with this crop, this looks like an easy gram per watt to me and thats with no veg time. i appreciate it scooby! il let you know how things work out. this is a great reason to add bud ignitor in my routine from now on. 2 1/2 feet plants with no buds wtf lol
