Afghan Kush w/ GO Nutes

HI!:bigjoint:

This is my first grow journal. I hope people can learn from my experience.

I'm growing 6 Afghan Kush clones under 1 600W MH in an unused bathroom/laundry room. The soil mix is 50% coco-coir peat mix and 50% organic worm castings. I'm using all the nutrients in the General Organics line except for Diamond Black. I will be topping the clones to get 8 colas a-la the mainlining thread here on rollitup.

ENJOY!

Hi everyone, thanks for reading! Today's issue is spider mites.
:wall: I'm making a batch of habanera pepper spray thanks to this wonderful thread. I've also been using a 2% rosemary oil solution to kill them systemically. Results to come soon!

As you can see I've got some red-stem issues, which I have read is a K (potassium) issue. I've been giving them a foliar feeding once per week of Roots Organics' Extreme Serene (basically kelp spray with a chelating agent). Hopefully that helps. I've also increased their nutes to the recommended 2 tablespoons/gallon of BioThrive Grow.

i wouldnt worry about those stems. some strains just have purple stems
I only worry because they were nice and green when I bought them, and then turned red over the course of a week due to me not wanting to over fertilize them. I'm pretty sure its a deficiency due to my paranoia:leaf:, but any experience with this issue is welcome! This chart says I probably have an NPK issue as well. View attachment 2320540

Thanks FUBAR!

The GO nutes have been great for me, and I just started brewing compost tea with them as well. I'm definitely going to try the SuperSoil recipe soon for my next grow though and just go full-out-bulk-organic growing.

Home depot has a neem oil concentrate.. Its my best friends and bugs are never really an issue
I have used Neem Oil in the past and can vouch for it. It definitely works. I'm now looking for a home-grown alternative so I can stop shelling out money to a middle-man. (also its smell is something hard to get used to). I'm going to get some Habaneros, plant some of those suckers and grow some spider-mite destruction. In the mean time I'll make some pepper spray and back it up with the 2% rosemary oil solution.

If only I could row my own Neem Tree:eyesmoke:
