Affordable?

Wow I pay for my own healthcare out of pocket and its not $11,000 a year.

if you were to have a debilitating illness, being halfway fast tracking to the top 1%, it would not be devastating for you if your TOOP was $100k for the top cancer drugs that you'd need to have.

people in my tax bracket don't get top anything.

mine went up even more.

it was $0 now the same policy is $34/monthly if i stay with same GOLD HMO 80/20.

EDIT: didn't you and your wife have some major done this year? all i did was go to the doctor 1x to renew refills and get prescriptions.

The fact is, if your income is more than peanuts, you haven't pumped out a ton of rug rats and you'd like to continue with your gold or platinum insurance policy, your rates are going to go up substantially.

Bucky has no clue how this program is funded and more than likely doesn't give a shit.

I did have my meniscus repaired in my knee last september. That was the first time I have used my healthcare ever. My wife is on medicare and hers went up a small amount compared to mine. I don't know how you got a gold policy for zero amount. How did you swing that?

no way government involvement can lower that cost like it has in every other wealthy nation with universal health care.

one thing you have to understand about that (other nations) often times the wait for specialists are insane.

we have a member here in eire whose mom is very sick (no, she not an alcoholic), they have a real issue with doctors there..are given the runaround because they can't afford the "private" option.

it's tragic and waaaaaaaay worse than here. did i say, way?

And yet by your own admission your current policy is cheaper than your old policy.

So again
Why are you bitching?

Arthroscopic surgery[2] , the standard outpatient treatment for more troublesome tears, typically costs about $7,400-$9,000 or more, depending on the age of the patient, the severity and exact location of the injury, whether related injuries are present, and the hospital where the procedure

and prostate exam, viagara, cialis, levitra, staxyn, stendra..

EDIT: little old lady, you don't have to worry, you have MEDICARE and that covers everything.

My health insurance doesn't cover any of the erectile drugs. It does cover prostate exams though.

Does that mean everybody that is broke gets gold health care plans? That doesn't make sense. I had a gold plan before the 20% increase, now I have a silver plan. If that is true we are all in a world of shit, imo

Ask him ... let's see what he says, I could be wrong. Remember, you never get something for nothing ... Bucky has no problem with "reeee-distribution" ....

I thought you were an accountant of some sort ... who do you think pays when others can't?

Remember this policy is about "access" not cost control. Any reduction in expense is auxiliary.

I looked up health care for people that have no income and it says that I would qualify for medicade not a gold plan. So how did you get a gold plan with no income?

my state does not offer medicaid expansion.

to have medicaid in my state, i must have a minor child living with me.

Buck..

I will post my letter about my nearly 20% increase in health care once again. because you are full of shit about 4%. My monthly payment was 493.00 and it went up to 575.00. So how do you come up with 4% ?
