Aeroponics?

I want to grow aeroponicly, but i have a few questions... Can I use a humidifier to keep the roots wet?, and also do I need to feed it all the time? I mean can I just use water or will I have to add nutes? and lastly, Do I need to keep the roots damp all the time or do I shut it off?

OK, well the plan is to put a humidifier in a rubbermaid container with holes and some kind of net in the lid, put the plants on the net and fill the humidifier with nutes, or make some kind of tea, will this work? any information will help! Also, can I start in soil and move to an aeroponics system? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
