I was wondering if I could just put my aerogarden on the 24 hour cycle and hold the lights button to program it to turn off at 7 cause In the manual book it says that the aerogarden turns back on automatically after 12 hours. would this work?

most radio's which have detachable plug in cords use the same voltage as the aerogarden hood ... and amazingly with a little bit of trimming of the rubber around the part that plugs to the radio it can be made to fit the aerogarden ... then from there just plugged into a light timer ... thats how i had to do it to get my hood to be a part of my main setup ... now i use the main aerogarden deluxe hood , 6 23watt cfl's with reflector hoods and 2 LED panels 50 watts each ... it creates a decent yeild ...but take it from someone who's been growing in an aerogarden for a long long time ... get more light ... you'll have to find a way to raise the hood up about where it can go ... i actually drilled holes into the arm of the hood and screwed it to the wall of my grow cabinet
If you set it to tomatoes its 16/8 but if you put it on 24hr then thats awesome for VEG I got 3 growing in a garden starter tray. I have yet to use the pods. If you want 12/12 you HAVE to buy the cord and timer ($10) Im gonna let the starter tray ride until I see signs of stress. I have pics here. If you dont wanna buy the timer and cord then its manual. https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/321221-cfl-grow-op.html
