It's been a minute since doing a pictures update, but I'll have some to show soon. Over the course of the last couple weeks I've been cutting down a little at a time - only what's ripe - starting with the tops and working my way down the plants as they ripen. Here is the report of each plant so far:
Jock Horror
I've cut down most of Jock Horror. I started cutting nugs from her as soon as day 52, but cut most of the rest of her down today, which is day 61. She was definitely the strongest grower and highest yielder. I don't have weights yet since not all is dry, but I can say for sure that I got well over an ounce from her. She was my second to ripen. I can't really do a full smoke report since her nugs are still curing, but I can say that so far she is the least potent when compared to LA Woman and Alaskan Ice.
LA Woman
Most of LA Woman has come down too. At about day 50 into flower I started harvesting some of her tops. LA Woman didn't yield as well as I thought she would because Lemon Skunk was laying on top of her, so I thought the LS nugs were LAW nugs until LAW started ripening. Because she had LS laying on her so long, her lower nugs are slowly ripening, so most of her lower nugs are still on the plant. She was the first to ripen. Although she is not done curing yet I can still get a great taste out of her smoke. I've tried Pure Kush and I can definitely taste the kushy taste in this herb. I love the taste. It has a nice potency and will melt me into whatever object my ass happens to be sitting on. This isn't that great of a morning smoke since it will make you want to lay back down, but it's awesome for nighttime smoking. She is my second most potent so far. (I haven''t harvested any of my Lemon Skunk yet).
Alaskan Ice
This is my favorite so far. Green House said that there were two main phenos, and I'm pretty sure I got the more-sativa like one. Her buds are funny looking claw things and they are covered in resin. Her nugs have a sweet and sour smell to them. The smoke that comes from her is intense in flavor, although I'm not sure how to describe it. Let me smoke some real quick... yeah still don't know. It's not done curing yet, so I guess I'll be able to pin it down later, but it kinda reminds me of some herb I had a couple months ago, called Upgrade Diesel. Anyway, the high is crazy intense, but it only lasts for about 30 minutes - which can be a really good thing if you like to smoke in the morning before work, or on a lunch break or something. If I'm chillin at the house I'll smoke some Alaskan Ice to get super high, and then LA Woman a little later to stay stoned longer. AI didn't yield that well, but I may get close to an ounce from her. I think it's kinda worth it to have a strain that takes a little bit longer and yields a little less, but has really good sativa smoke. I just happened to get a hybrid that looks and smokes like a sativa, but finished in 60ish days. I started harvesting nugs at 54 days, but had the most of it harvested by day 60, which was yesterday.
Lemon Skunk
It's day 61 and still not ready to harvest this one. She looks like she might need another week. Her buds are huge though, but very airy. She can't seem to hold herself up at all - falling all over the place. But she smells like bubblegum and is covered in resin, so I'm excited about it.
